Thanks for the update. Even though I'm wearing the SPAT, I haven't been able to stop wearing my Core...it's too addicting for me to give up. Glad you are losing weight now.

Ok, so since I got back on track this past month I noticed the BMF was still giving me a rash. I know the good people at Bodymedia tell us not to wear on the calf. However, I thought I'd give it a try anyway and to my amazement, I find it to be more accurate than on the arm. Before when I wore on the arm, I followed carefully for the calorie deficit but still was not losing. In fact I was gaining. Now since I switched to my calf and still follow to the T the calorie deficit, I've been losing weight at a nice and healthy pace. I'm not saying this works for everyone, but it works for me.

Another thing I notice is that I sweat underneath where the sensors are and then bacteria sets on and infection starts. I just found out from a doctor that it really is not good wearing when susceptible to intertrigo or to at least not wear at nights and go one entire day without if I want to use. Doing this helps some. Although intertrigo is usually skin rubbing against skin the sensors act as a layer of skin in this case.

I don't have a lot of weight in my arms which is weird why it hurts. In fact my arms are very skinny while the rest of me is like 4 times bigger in proportion.

Like MOONSTONEWOLF, I do find the band really uncomfortable. It is my one complaint about the device. If wear it as loose as I can and it still hurts. I carry a lot of weight in my arms, so I figure that is part of the problem. If I wear it at night it tends to make my arm go numb. I will try moving it to my ankle and night from now on.

I think the problem, for me, at least, is that the band is too narrow. I was just looking at it wondering if I could make a wider band for it. The band from BM tends to roll up and pinch me.

It hurts in both places. So I usually take it off when I go to bed. I don't think I need a device to tell me I'm up 6 times a night. I'm more concerned with what I burn during the day anyway. And I don't wear the band too tight, if I loosened it it would fall off my arm. It's not actually the device but having something around my arm or calf period bothers me after so long.

I wear it on my left arm in the day, and on my left ankle at night. If I forget to move it at night my arm can hurt the next day.

Moonstonewolf-so sorry it's hurting! I wonder if it's on too tight?

Thanks to everyone for feedback about cleaning it! I had been using just water, so I'll switch to using alcohol instead. Thanks!

My arm actually started to hurt, not itch from wearing the armband. During the days that didn't have it waiting on my replacement it finally stopped hurting. However I got it yesterday, charged it, put on this morning and already it's hurting me again. I did the entire cleaning with alchohol thing and stuff, so I'm at a loss as to what to do with this.

I've wore the Bodymedia Advantage for 2 years. I'd actually take 3 week breaks from wearing it because the device irritates my skin. But about 6 months ago I started wearing it all the time even though it still bothers my skin.

I clean my skin and the device, several times a day with either alcohol or witch hazel. I'd say I usually do this 4 times a day. And recently I replaced the Advantage with the new Core. The Core is 33% smaller so I'm able to put in on my left arm, in a place it didn't touch the day before.

Are you regularly cleaning the metal contact points on the BMF? Using an alcohol pad to clean it (daily if needed) can help. Unfortunately some people are sensitive to the metal in the contacts, I hope cleaning them helps you.

I had to stop wearing mine on my left arm because it was itching horribly. Even a few days later the site where it had been was itching. I move it around during the day so it's not always on the same exact location on my arm. I tried not to have it too tight, but any looser and it was falling off. I am not alternating between my left calf and right arm. Starting to get the rash on my left calf now. Has anyone else experienced this? Any easy remedies? Thanks!
