Thanks for the feedback! I hadn't considered that the sensor is probably coming off sometimes during this. I did wake up one day and it had turned off, though it was still attached, so that makes sense. My doctor wants me to get a sleep study. I am hoping I can get that arranged soon.
I think, like ROBERTMARILYN said, sometimes there are blank spots on the chart from the sensor coming away from the skin from the position I'm in. It isn't perfect--definitely not the same precision as you would get from a sleep study--but it does give at least a general idea of the amount and quality of sleep I'm getting.

If I lay awake but don't move at all, it's going to say I slept then. In fact, I've been entranced, reading a long article on my computer, when it has said I was asleep. So I know it's not completely accurate but I like to look at my sleep results anyway.
I do have sleep apnea and have had it all my life. I've had several sleep tests. I was wired up like a porcupine each time. So it's understandable that this simple device can't be too accurate by just touching your skin.
I also will get large blank spots on my chart and assume I must be on my left side when that happens and may have caused the sensor to come away from the skin somehow.

I have had my bodymedia device for a bit over a month now. I am amazed at what it records, or rather doesn't record, for sleep. I've seen this thing say I only slept four hours on days that I felt I got a good night's sleep. My doc already wants me to do a sleep study-I guess I better!
Anyone else finding similar results with their device?
