I am trying to figure the link out. I already have a fitbit One which I like but wanted a more accurate less input on my calorie burn.

my trouble with the link so far is that my subscription is through JM 360 so it syncs via the USB to her site and there is a delay. I may just go for the Body media site subscription and dump Jillian michaels 360.

anyway, today I walked on the treadmill for an hour. the fitbit says 8235 right now and my Body media Fit says 3943 steps. that's quite a difference. and all i can say thus far is I think the fitbit is correct. :(

i'm glad to see that everyone likes the bodymedia link over the fitbit. I have been trying to figure out if I want the fitbit instead of the link. I love my link, but the subscription is getting to me, it is not a lot of money but when you are trying to get things paid off and need the extra money, it is a lot. I think I will just stick to my link, I try to wear longer sleeves to cover it if I know someone doesn't know what it is, this way I don't have to always explain. I have been wearing a bodybugg or link for about 5 years and I don't get why people don't pay attention. oh well, I love my link!

Love the Link as well--also used BodyBugg before I switched to the Link. Glad you are happy with your purchase, these are great devices!

I am a former BodyBugg user, from about 5 years ago. I bought myself a new iPod Touch 5th gen for xmas and decided that since I now had Bluetooth, I'd also buy myself a new armband and I got the LINK armband. I LOVE it! I wear it 23/7, no problems! This is one of the most amazing pieces of technology, besides a computer or smartphone, in my opinion. So happy, so worth every penny I spent!

AND you can make your own customized skin if you want, or buy one that they offer. That is awesome! I'm in the process of making a custom one, with the logo and a lyric from my favorite band. It will say "Du bist was du isst" (from Rammstein's "Mein Teil" song) and in German it simply means, "You are what you eat!" Perfect!!

So excited I over achieved all my goals today. I am excited. Please post back if you hear of the integration. Going to research body media. I hate logging in to bodybug. They have no database.

Thanks for your help.

No, took me awhile to figure out they were different. Same basic device, but different companies; BodyMedia actually makes the devices, Bodybugg just sells them under their name. The web interface for BodyMedia Fit and reporting is way better in my opinion. Bodybugg doesn't give you any data on sleep and doesn't break down between moderate and vigorous activity like BodyMedia.

Hopefully the rumors are true and there will be integration soon, I'd love that! I already have a Withings scale that integrates with BodyMedia and SparkPeople--yes, I am a gadget geek, LOL!

How stupid am I, I thought they were the same thing. Lol. I'll have to change if there is an integration. Lol

That's one of the reasons I got a Bodybugg, to help motivate me to get moving more. Love to reach those goals.

There has been talk in the past of BodyMedia Fit and SparkPeople integrating, and someone posted that there is supposed to be an announcement of some kind next week about that. BodyMedia has been much more willing to work with other companies and products to integrate to work together than Bodybugg has been, that's one of the reasons I switched to a BodyMedia Fit Link after my Bodybugg subscription expired. I hope it's true--I usually don't bother logging my food on both sites, I barely have time to keep up with logging it on one!

I am a stay at home mom and find it so hard to get the steps in, but I am walking twice a day to get those 10000 steps in. Once on the treadmill and doing the Leslie Sansone walk dvd's. I love them!

I already had the bodybug but found it a pain to log food twice so I bought the fitbit zip and it doesn't even come close to the bodybug numbers. I believe the bodybug is more accurate. Hoping sparkpeople and bodybug integrate some way.

I can tell you by experience as I have a fit bit and a former user of body bugg. Just ordered the body media fit link and anxiously await it in the mail.

Loved my fit bit for the descretness of it but never felt like it was more than a glorified pedometer. The body bugg was always really accurate for me. I am so excited to get my body medit fit link. The only reason I am upgrading is for the use with my iphone so that I do not have to wear the digital display and also for the sleep tracking.

My opinion - you made the right decision.

I got my Link yesterday and I'm really excited! Mine came with a 3 month subscription. Really, to me the monthly fee is cheaper than the medications I need as a result of being unhealthy. Good luck to you!

I started out with a Bodybugg and then changed to a BodyMedia Fit Link a few months ago, and I love it. It has been totally worth the price. I've been using one or the other for almost three years now, and having that constant feedback helped me get me rear in gear to move more and lose the weight. I've lost over 100 pounds and am now more or less in maintenance mode, but I am keeping the Link subscription for now and likely for a long time to come. I am one who can go a whole day without getting 10 minutes of even moderate activity in; with the Link, I'm reminded to do something--anything--to burn some calories and move more.

Hope that is helpful; at that price, it is well worth it to try. With BMF, you're not committing to a year-long subscription; you can take it a month at a time to see how well it works for you. I'd recommend committing to at least 3-4 months of using it consistently to give it a chance. As SparkCoach Nancy says, we are all an experiment of one; we have to keep trying different things until we find the key to making changes that stick. The BMF Link has been a great tool for me in doing that. Good luck!

I decided to get myself a Christmas present so I ordered a Bodymedia Fit Link. I have been struggling with diet and exercise since having a baby last August and thought this would give me motivation. Now I am having second thoughts about it. Who has a Bodymedia device and loves it? I almost got a Fitbit but Amazon had the Link for $119 & a $30 coupon so it was only $90. I couldn't pass up the deal. Now I'm doubting the choice because I hate the idea of needing a monthly subscription to use the device. Maybe I'm just having unnecessary anxiety. Is the Bodymedia device worth the price? I need help and guidance to get back on track and stay there. I lost 60 lbs and was in the best shape of my life before getting pregnant. Now I've gained the weight back and have no motivation to exercise.

Current weight loss goal: 262.8
Long term goal #1: 186 lbs by my next birthday (must lose an average of 2.2 lbs per week to reach)
Long term goal #2: 155 lbs (end goal weight)
