I don't blame you at all; I'm sorry you've had such problems with it. The devices are great if they work right, but you seem to have gotten not one but two bad ones! You might look at the bodybugg or Fitbit instead; bodybugg is basically the same device but has a different web interface. The Fitbit isn't as sophisticated (or as expensive), but it's more than a pedometer and can give good feedback from what I've read.

They still aren't much help though. The status button gets stuck and I have to reboot this armband every couple of hours. I am talking to them this afternoon about geting a complete money refund. This is too much of a hassle for me.

Well, at least they are responding in some way and are working on the issue. Glad you haven't sent the old one back until the new one is working; I want the 'credit' for any activity I do, too!

She told me that they're having issues with the new update of their firmware, so hopefully in a day or two that will be resolved. After 2 hours the device unstuck, but I used the old one during that 2 hour period so I could get credit for something. Still, 2 hours is too long to be stuck with green light on battery and memory

NOT good--that should not be happening for you. I wouldn't blame you for returning it and asking for a refund at this point, although I really hope you can get a response from them that resolves it. I never did find the info we used to get things paired up, but my husband thinks what finally did it was rebooting the phone. Sorry I can't be of more help to you on this--and that support is being less than supportive right now!

It isn't registering anything. I'm not sure what to do now. I"m not getting any help. The light on the device is constant green and won't change or beep or anything. :(

I called support, I have open tickets and nothing is being resolved. So I'm thinking of returning the device for a full refund and just buy a fancy pedometer. This has been nothing but a headache since I started wearing it 6 weeks ago. I did restart the phone, and every day I have to unpair and pair the device with my iPhone again. It isn't the iPhone because my iPhone pairs with my other devices, it just won't pair with the bodymedia. And I paid the extra money just for the pairing feature too.

Frustrating, to say the least! I talked to my husband, and he thought what finally got things working for us was restarting the phones. Support should be in the office today, though, so hopefully they will be able to help you get things working right now. Sometimes when there is a new update released, there unforeseen problems that have to be ironed out, despite the developers best efforts to do quality assurance testing before they go out live. I know, I work in software development. Doesn't remove the frustration when it affects you, though!

I unpaired the old one, and got the new one paired, but the new firmware that they released the other day will not let me pair it at all. In fact the firmware was released either Saturday or Sunday as I got the message pop up then, the new device came in Wednesday and I didn't have to update then. Something is wrong with the update. And of course no one is in the office to help over the weekend

Wow, that's really weird that it won't link--that is one of the supported devices! Support SHOULD respond and help you with that. When I contacted them initially because my phone wouldn't link, their immediate response was "it's not a supported device." I expressed my displeasure at them not offering any help, and they sent me some suggested steps to try that finally worked. I don't remember much beyond having to delete the device and app (my phone 'found' it but the app didn't, if I remember right) and having to do things in a certain order. I'm assuming you've unpaired the old one and tried everything listed on their website already; not sure that you have to unpair the old one, but I'm guessing that is the case, and you might have to uninstall and reinstall the app to clear out things from the faulty one.

I'll keep looking for the steps I had to follow and also ask my husband if he remembers the specifics when he's back. I can only imagine how frustrated and irritated you are by this!

I am sorry you are having so much trouble! It took a bit of work to get mine paired up initially because I don't have one of the 'supported' phones. I did get it to work eventually, but I don't recall the specific steps I had to take. I will check and see if I can find the instructions I used and post them for you. What kind of phone do you have?

I can't even get this one to pair at all. I've been trying for hours. I feel ripped off because I paid more money for this feature only to be sent a replacement that is defective as well? I don't get it, I thought they wanted people to be happy with their products. Does anyone know why my device isn't pairing? At least I was able to pair the old defective one. I"m about ready to send both back for a full refund and just buy a fancy pedometer with all the troubles I've had with this thing. How do other people get theirs to work correctly?
