LSINGLE- It wasn't my idea to put it on my leg, another sparkperson suggested it. I just finally broke down and tried it. I'm glad I did. I like to vary my workouts because I get bored quickly.

I think what I like best about sparkpeople is that other people are willing to offer advise and guidance based on their own experience.

I hope everybody is having a great week. Mine is going well.

That's a good idea about putting the armband on your leg. After seeing some of the reviews thta it doesn't pick up activity on the bikes or elipticals concerned me a bit as I'm looking to buy an eliptical. I'll definately try that! Thanks for sharing.

Yesterday I tried putting my bodymedia on my lower leg and riding my stationary bike and it seemed to work well. I was able to get 30 minutes of vigorous activity and 45 minutes of moderate activity on the bike that way. Tonight Biggest Loser is on for 2 hours, so I will be riding the bike and doing step aerobics while watching that.

You are right, it will help me with the last of my weight-loss. It would be easier if I didn't keep changing my goal weight. I just want to look my best. I know this wonderful tool will help me get there. I have tried to tell me sister about it and how helpful I have found it to be.

Glad to hear you are liking it! I'm very glad I got my bodybugg when I started losing weight; it definitely has helped me move a lot more throughout the day and gives me a clearer picture of what my body does. I hope it helps you take those last few pounds off more quickly as well as with maintenance!

I'm happy I have this tool. The bodymedia helps me to know where I am as far as calorie burn for my day is going. I have found that I can look at dawhboard early in the evening and adjust my activity if needed to make up for a sluggish day. I wish I had bought one of these at the beginning of my weight-loss journey instead of waiting until I got within less than 15 pounds of my goal. However, better late than never. I think I will be able use it effectively for maintenance when the time comes.
