I had some problems with mine at first. It worked fine for most of the 1st day I wore it and then it started acting up. Was paired but not connected, kept telling me my armband was not setup, etc I am extremely stubborn and kept fooling with it and looking online for solutions. Finally, I found on their facebook page some steps to run through and it fixed it. Now it's working perfectly.

I'll put the links here just incase someone reads this thread who may find it useful. It is for connecting your BodyBuggSP to your Andriod or iPhone/iPad:

yes I get what you mean. right now I am just going to wait and maybe get a heart rate monitor later. I have been doing awesome with out anything lately. I have been watching my calories and working out anywhere from 25-45 minutes a day.

I'm sorry the bugg didn't work out for you - I love mine! But I also loved my HRM when I used it too - that Polar is a good one (my hubby still uses it when he works out!) The only thing to remember is that you should only wear them when you work out, and not all day long. They are just designed to read heart rate, and don't calculate metabolic factors like the buggs do - so your "all day" burns will be WAY off from what your body is actually doing. Does that make sense?

Hey there - if you're interested in a heart rate monitor, I'd recommend a Polar Ft4. They will run you about $90 at Best Buy and they've got the chest strap so they read continuously and are really comfortable. This is the model I used before I got my Bugg and the hubby still uses this when he works out.

Here's the link (the only difference between Mens & Womens is the color):

I thought about getting a heart rate monitor that I could use with my body media. I don't know that I truly need to get one or not. I bought one of the heart rate monitor watches that I have to hold my fingers on to get a reading. I wish I had spent a little more and bought one with a chest strap. I'm pretty lazy though and this way I can pretend I'm working hard than I really am.
I really cannot take all the credit for my great numbers at the doctor's office. I have to thank all the people who have supported and encouraged me along the way. That includes all the spark people out there. Thank you.

I am thinking on a heart rate monitor watch, are they cheap? I will have to look into that option.

So I used to use a Heart Rate Monitor to track my workouts before I got my Bugg. I noticed that the burns were different between the two - my Bugg was lower than the HRM. The Buggs/Medias don't measure heart rate - so they might be a little lower than other trackers that use that in their calculations, but I find them to be more accurate. Definitely use it as a motivator to push harder and see how high you can increase your burns (that's what I do!)

Congrats on the cholesterol and body fat readings! You should be SUPER proud of yourself! Keep up the fabulous work!!!

I still haven't tried riding the stationary bike again. I'm kind of afraid of the numbers. I did look at my caloric burn for doing the step aerobics and I'm burning less than this website's fitness tracker gives me credit for doing. I'm probably moving too slowly.
My doctor gave me great news today. My cholesterol is within normal ranges for the first time in years. My body fat percentage is 21.9. I am a very happy person tonight.

Whenever I ride a stationary or regular bike - I wear mine on my calf instead of putting it on my arm. Since my arms don't move much, my readings are always super low - but its definitely more accurate at measuring my burns when its on my calf. Definitely try it out and hope it helps!

Well, mine seems to be working okay today. Maybe I didn't have the band tight enough on my arm yesterday. I did read that you have to adjust the placement when riding the stationary bike. I will have to try that later on. Have a nice night everybody.

I'm really sorry that you didn't like it! Have you thought about getting the V3 version with a digital display instead? Yes, the website is a pain, but once you get used to it - its not so bad. And I've never had any issues with my V3 - maybe its worth a shot!

I wasn't too happy with my bodymedia today. It didn't record any of the exercise I did on my recumbent stationary bike. Plus it seemed to stop recording everything for awhile. I have very few steps recorded for the day, even after I spent 45 minutes walking and running in place the darn thing only says 300+ steps today. I hope it was just a glitch.

Are you wearing it tight enough? I've got mine on nice and snug (so there's actually a slight indentation on my arm when its on) and I haven't had any connection issues. Granted - I have the V3 and not the SP, but maybe this might help a little bit?

I wear mine on my left arm about 2-3 inches above my elbow - with the sensor near the middle to back of my arm. Wait - I know that's confusing...lemme see if I've got a pic

Okay - look at this and see if it helps you

I have a GoWear Fit but it's pretty similar. I wear mine on my upper left arm, about halfway to 2.3 of the way up, with the sensors kind of on the back to underside of my arm.

It sounds to me like your device lost contact with your skin somehow and didn't register anything. In 21 minutes I'd burn at least 20 calories just lying on my couch. ;)

Also, if you know the approximate times of your workout you can narrow down the time bar to show only those times and get the #'s you are after. Quite a bit more work than the auto-update devices but just to help until you hear back from them. Good luck!

If you're using the SP (I think I remember that's the one you got) are you synchronizing with your phone? Is there a "trip" option on there? Since I have the V3, I don't know a lot about the SP, but I know that on my digital display it tracks everything for the day and I have to reset the "trip" setting each time I work out to get my burns for that - otherwise it will just show the general burn for the whole day
