I have had my force fit bit for two weeks now and love it. however I find myself constantly checking it does anyone else have this issue or is it just me? I do like that feature that it tracks your sleep pattern which is handy.

YES! I actually had the Body Bugg and the membership lapsed. Then I saw the Body Media. Didn't realize it was from the same company so I ordered that. I absolutely love it! Wish it wasn't so conspicuous but I love it. Purchased a 2 year membership.

Absolutely! Actually, will probably purchase the new Core when it comes out as it is supposed to be waterproof so I could use it willing swimming and surfing. I have had my band now for over a year and love it. I find it so motivating seeing the numbers and having my deficit calculated each day. I find that I push myself a bit harder if it looks like I won't make my goals.

I have also been very happy with customer service. In fact, they already replaced my band and since I had the old Advantage band they don't make anymore, they upgraded me to a Link at no extra charge. I wouldn't hesitate to order again from them.

I'm on the fence. I've been happy with it overall. However the FitBit users are very loyal as well. I know one person who has had both and believes the calorie count with Fit bit is more reliable.

BTW, I can get mine to work with Windows 8 in desktop mode.

I had a BodyBugg that I lost during a move, so I bought the BodyMedia Fit Link to replace it. I have had it for a while, probably about a year and a half. I was considering upgrading to the Core, but then heard about the Core II and decided to wait.

I just got another one... sort of. I had the BodyBugg Version 3 from a couple of years ago. I believe I got it in October of 2010 and I wore it religiously until I had surgery in August of 2011. After my surgery I fell off the wagon completely with diet and exercise. I'm starting over now and I resubscribed to the the Apex site last week, but when I found out that the BodyMedia site integrates with SparkPeople, I decided I needed to "upgrade" to the BodyMedia CORE. Luckily the digital display from my BodyBugg works with the CORE, so I only had to invest in the armband itself. Received it on Wednesday and yesterday was my first full day with it. I am already LOVING not having to enter all my food twice! I also like that it's smaller, tracks my sleep, and differentiates between moderate and vigorous activity.

I DID get another one. My Advantage lasted two years (still going strong) but I wanted to try the Core since it's so much smaller than that Advantage. The device aggravates my skins so having a smaller surface allows me to move the new Core around on my arm so my skin doesn't get bothered as much.

yes I would get it again. I find I like the confidence of knowing how many steps my "average" life takes. It makes sense that if I was using 10k steps just getting my life work done no wonder I would be hesitant to walk another two miles. It makes me feel like I am on track I like the food log and the reports.

To be honest I haven't lost any weight using ti but at least it let me know that it wasn't because I was not active. I definitely would get it again. I have the core and bought the little attachment to read steps when I am not connected to computer but I hardly use it.

Also an added benefit was finding out my sleep patters and tweeking little things that imporved my sleep efficiency.

I'm from Ontario, Canada and I just ordered my Body Media Fit Core + display this afternoon from the maker. Shipping was steep, though not $50, it was around $35. Still an obscene amount for shipping from Pittsburg! Anyway, I need the extra motivation to compete with myself for personal bests and making sure I more accurately stay on track with calories in/cals out.
I am so glad to read so many wonderful reviews on the product, and the fact that ex biggest loser contestants are still using theirs is great. I can't wait to receive my package! Woohoo!

I think their customer service is lacking based on your posting Moseyinn and my recent experience. My body media broke after 5 days. I sent it back for a replacement as instructed to do. It seemed like it was taking a long time so I contacted customer service to see if they had received it yet. They did respond and within 3 days after that I had my money refunded and no replacement. I was sent an email asking why I chose to cancel my order. I emailed back that I hadn't. That was at least a week ago and I haven't heard back. Good news? I've lost 7.5 lbs without the device.

I have windows 8 and it synced but I have surface tablet at home and will not sync to it. So I can only sync from work after my workout. If more people get one then they said they would create driver. I sync to my phone also, would still by again even though not that convenient it gives me control of ingoing and outgoing calories.

I'm a bit frustrated. I updated my computer to Windows 8 and now my BodyBugg won't sync. When I called them, they said that it wasn't compatible yet with Windows 8. Thank goodness I have the SP where I can sync it to my phone and see my stats. Anyone with the Bodymedia also having trouble with Windows 8?

For the differences between the 2, so far as I can tell, the FitLink can provide you with an update of where you are during the day without taking the armband off and hooking it up to your computer so long as you have an Android or iPhone smartphone. If you want real time updates but don't have a smartphone, you can still buy the Core and the display that is sold separately for about $60. Bottom line, it depends on how important frequent feedback is for you.

I personally have the FitLink, and for me, it was the right choice. Seeing my calorie burn in real time makes me more motivated to exercise and helps keep me on track with food. Others may be just as motivated by once or twice daily feedback, though, and it's really personal preference at the end of the day. For me, however, the extra 20 dollars was well worth it for the extra motivation!

I got my bodymedia for free from my insurance along with a year subscription to the website. Yes, I would do it again in a hearbeat. I plan on paying for my plan when it expires. I absolutely love getting immediate feedback - it's like instant gratification.

Hi Everyone! I'm new to your group but not new to Sparks. Actually I haven't even bought my Body Media yet. I am ready to but I am confused as to the difference between the two listed on their website. Can anyone tell me the difference? I'm anxious to order mine but with a $30 difference there must something different between the two. Thank you everyone.

I have a BodyBugg and do enjoy it. It's very accurate. What I don't enjoy is that I got the Bodybugg instead of the Bodymedia. If I had to get one again, I'd probably get the Bodymedia so I can sync it to other medias like SP etc. Hope this helps!

Definitely would buy the BodyMedia again yet the only that isn't great is the fact that the shipping is outrageous to Canada! Yet you may have heard Target is coming to Canada this year to Ottawa and I know they sell the BodyMedia accessories.....The website wants to charge $52 to ship it to Ontario Canada....can you even believe that!?

So I am in Canada and purchased a BodyBugg online on kijiji. I used it all the time! I had the display and everything. Then I got ok with not wearing it for a while, decided to use it again and somehow lost the display....I was SO disappointed!

I decided to buy a new one instead of just buying a new display, SP had the offer so I ended up buying the BodyMedia Fit. I do prefer it more and the only thing I hated was that I lost my food list. I have to say the one thing that really is NOT that great with BodyMedia or BB is the food tracker. I was thrilled when the integrated with My Fitness Pal just recently. In my opinion they have they best food tracking system out there. EVERYTHING is in it. So I REALLY hope that SP gets integration soon too! They have with the fitbit so I would imagine its only a matter of time.

So YA, I would do it again!!! Lol

I love my bodymedia and would absolutely buy it again. In fact, I just put my core armband on ebay so I can upgrade to the link model. I got mine thru flex spending, it also covered the display, so it was well worth it. I use a Garmin Forerunner when I run and the calorie burn is pretty close but I really like the Bodymedia for non-exercise activities, like my daily routine.

The thing that I really love about it is that I realized recently how beneficial it really is for me. Last winter I was doing P90X and Insanity so by the spring I had a fair amount of muscle and was pretty lean. On a day with an 8 mile run I was easily burning 3000 calories. When I stopped weights to focus more on running I lost some muscle, I didn't think it was that much so I wasn't concerned. I did not realize how much it mattered until my calorie burn for a day with a half marathon was less than 3000. It impressed me that the Bodymedia was accurate enough to see that my metabolism had decreased due to the loss of muscle. I should have paid more attention to what it was telling me because I gained some weight back. Now that I know that, I can make sure that even during peak running season I at least keep up some strength training. The challenge is balancing the two without overtraining but that's another issue.

I got the unit to help me maintain a 40 lb loss so it has been very beneficial for that. I sleep with it on the right arm to give my left a break. It still seems just as accurate and since calorie burn is the lowest at that point, I don't worry about it.

I have had my body media for about four years. While I do love the feedback it gives, it has made an indention in my arm from wearing it so much. I bought a new strap a couple of months ago and really thought of getting the advantage due to its size. I have become obsessed with looking at my display all the time and then feeling guilty because I have not met my targets. That said, I took it off just this morning. I have been wearing it long enough to know how many calories I burn with exercise to how many when I don't. Need to try something different because the weight is not coming off! But I do love it. I won't miss the clunky thing on my arm and it is worse when you have fatty, chicken neck arms!

Update: my FitBit arrived this afternoon! That was fast. I've set up an account and have the device charging now. While I don't think it has quite the same accuracy as the GWF did, I am confident that it will do well to give me a general idea each day of my activity level, steps, etc. I'm looking forward to trying it out. I'm also looking forward to having something a little easier to tuck away while wearing it, out of sight.

I went ahead and bought a Fitbit this morning. I was getting tired of the armband showing, or trying to hide the device in my bra. After 2+ years I have a pretty good idea of how my body functions, but I still want some feedback. The Fitbit seemed like an option worth trying. Maybe not quite as accurate as my GWF, but close enough. Hopefully it will be here within a week.

They are about $70 now without the display on Amazon. I love my advantage. My new spark goal is to keep my sleep efficiency above 90% and with the armband I can do that. I also need to hit 7-8 hours of sleep a night and I can track that with the armband too

Also, I am clearly seeing that my activity levels have dropped from vigorous to moderate...Armabnd tracks that too!.

Absolutely cat imagine losing this great feedback.

I had my BodyMedia for 2+ years and it wold still be going strong if I hadn't jumped into a pool while wearing it. If I can't get it to work again I am faced with deciding whether or not to replace it. I like the smaller profile of the newer model, but I also like the ability to instantly sync with a phone. I don't like the prospect of having to spend another $150 or so, however. :(

I have the Body Media Fit, bluetooth, and would definitely get it again. It's such a great tool, although I had to quit recording my food on Sparkpeople and just used the BodyMedia site, because I got bogged down with trying to keep them both up.

I love the info you get from it when you record everything. it's an amazing help to me.

I bought the armband from warehouse deals @amazon and the dispay from Body Media. It did take a call to tech support but I was synced in 15 minutes. the device needs laonger to charge then indicated but so far I am very impressed. I have sleep apnea and the device alerted me to interruptions in sleep. Need to work on that more. Poor seep= poor metabolism

I have had a bodybugg for two years. I have been good at wearing it and tracking the calories burned but not so good at logging the food eaten. I go to a dietitian and the diet she gave me isn't that easy to log but I could if I was more focused.

My bodybugg subscription runs out in Sept. Should I re-new or should I buy something different like body media or fit bit or nothing ? I have ten pounds to re-lose and then I want to maintain. And my body really really fights to put the weight back on.

Any suggestions I would gratefully accept. Thanks.

I absolutely would buy my BodyMedia Fit Core armband again. I've had it since January & love being able to track everything with it. When I enter my food intake, I actually lose the weight that I'm aiming for each week. I love it. I find that being able to see the metrics, along with the results is inspiring and motivating.

I bought the Aria Scale a few days ago and am not sure if I would buy that again. I love my Fitbit, but am not sure if the scale is worth the price. Does anyone else have it? What do you think, if you do?

I have the fitbit and would totally get it again! I check the stats at least once a hour and it keeps me motivated. Well worth the money!

Just got my first one, the Link with Bluetooth. So far, day 1, I am liking the ease of use, and the ability to sync and check frequently on my phone. Hope this helps me see where I am lacking in the calorie burn department. I am getting better at the food, but was always feeling that I should be losing something, instead of maintaining for as long as I have.

I have had mine two weeks and it is a big help. It helps me track the calorie burn and spurs me on to make sure I get my work in on those low calorie days. Tracking my caloric intake is of great benefit and so far my weight loss seems to exceed the calorie deficit.

I would definitely buy another!

I am in Canada and could not get the body bugg, i have heard nothing but good with the bodybugg . We did get the Slim Coach here and I have been using for 3 months. It is great when it works but has lots of programming problems. Many Many people on the message board of My Trak are taking them back. I saw messages on Spark asking if it is good. Please don't waste your money on it until hopefully some day they get the programming working. They have wiped my data out many times so I start back as a snail, it takes a long time and a lot of hard work to get to a shark only to be disappointed when they have a program failure and kick you right back down to the start. Glad I bought mine from Costco they will take it back no problem.

Hope this helps the people thinking about the Slim Coach.

ABSOLUTELY! I've only had mine for a litle over a month, but I LOVE the information I get from the device. It is so helpful to me to know pretty close to 90% accuracy how many calories I actually burn doing various activities and exercises. I love keeping real-time track of my calories burned, consumed, activity times, and steps throughout the day (I have the LINK system) - it gives me incentive to get up and do a little extra when I see that I'm off my targets a bit.

I convinced a friend to buy one for herself last week. She's hooked already, too!

I have had the Bodybugg Version 3 for a year. I am waiting for my SP to come in. Should be here on Tuesday. So, yes coulda, shoulda, woulda, yes! I shoulda, coulda, would and I did!!

It is sure that you can wear it 24-hrs a day and not lose a pound. But, if you want a tool that keeps you on track, lets you know where you are in your exercise/calorie ratio for the day then its an awesome tool.

I was doing so well with mine and then had surgery last March on my left shoulder so I couldn't wear it for weeks. I got out of the habit and that was the beginning of my downfall. But, I'm back and put my version 3 on today and am anxious for the SP to get here.

The only limits in my life are the ones I place upon myself.

Yes, and I actually did.

I love mine sooooo much that I bought a new one.

I orgionally had the bodybugg2 and the watch. My purse got stolen about 2 years ago with the watch attached and every since then I have been morning it's loss, since I didn't want to pay 100 for a new one.

Last night I got on to renew my subscription which is 50 and they had the watches 1/2 off for 50. I was just about to buy one when my husband told me that if I clicked back I missed an add for the SP for 100.

I can't wait for it to get here I got the new bodybugg and the 6 mths for the same price I was going to pay for the sub and watch, plus no one can steal the watch since I don't need to have one anymore!

Let the best of today be the worst of tomorrow.

Definitely!! I've had my GoWearFit device for about 14 months and I really think it gets you moving when you have had a low burning day - which is most of the time for me with my job. I love the feedback - even about sleep - and I can make the necessary adjustments to keep my weight loss. I've been stuck for a couple of months with more losses but at least I haven't gained!

I've had mine over a year now and would definitely do it again! I love the feedback I get and being much more in tune with how my body is burning calories during the day.

Yes, I would do it again. I have used it while ramping up my workout and diet regime and it was very helpful when I had surgery. I could not exercise, but it really helped me understand my adjusted calorie burn. It is amazing your calorie burn on crutches! I wear my all the time and would feel lost without it.

I've had a BB now for a little over 3 years. I am completely addicted to it. In fact I even replaced the original model and am on model 2. Yes, I definitely would do it again (I already have - sort of). Having said that I am sure it is not for everyone. If you are going for accuracy than I think there are problems with that, but for me, I just like to know how I am doing, comparatively, with my calorie burning. It still motivates me to get up and move around (I work at a university and my job is very sedentary - so I really need to get up and move throughout the day. The BB really helps make me do that. I hate having a low calorie burn total for the day)

For those of you who have had your device for some time, after having used it for awhile, would you do it again? Do you feel it been useful (mildly, moderately, significantly) enough to make it worth the money you spent to get one, and would you do it again with the knowledge/experience you've had so far?
