Sadly I have not been working out for a few days. I have been sick with a head cold and my energy level has been extremely low. So I am hoping to get back on track in a day or two.

This week I started a no bread, pasta, pototo thing. I am not doing atkins but I am doing low carb. Unlimited fruits and veggies, lean proteins, etc. I am hoping to see some results by next Monday which is the day I started. However I was a little crazy over the weekend eating carbs knowing I was starting this week so I probably gained some. ha ha! That is okay I am doing better than I thought. Last night was steak, aspargus and a tomatoe/mozzorella salad for dinner, Tonight is roast with carrots and mushrooms (not potatoes). So far so good!

So today I walked on my lunch again. That makes 2 days in a row. I love this weather! Not to hot to walk and puts me in the mood to go home to work in my flower bed and garden.

I tried to add Special K cereal into the points tracker for weight watchers and it could not find it. I then later tried to add in a lean cuisine and it did not recognize it. I don't have time to look up every ingredient in everything I eat and put them in manually that is too much time. I much prefer the Spark food counter. I just wish I could really see results on the scale. I see it in the mirror when I put on my exercise clothes but not on the scale. I guess I would be in a better mood if I would hurry up and drop a size already. I am in month 4 of watching what I eat and working out and still wearing a size 18. UGHHH!

I tired weight watchers and didn't like it. I remember my grandmother doing weight watchers religiously in the 70s and 80s. She used a scale to measure her food and ate very well. She didn't exercise and was pretty sedentary - as I am now. My body shape now is very similar to what hers was then. Heredity? I think that is part of it. Your doctor is a jerk by the way. My DR. & her nurse talk about how I need to loose weight, but we also talk about how HARD it is. And it is harder for some than others.
But for today - I am doing well. Got up at 4:15 to sneak in a work out before leaving for work. I planed out my meals last night, so no last minute chaos this morning or the need to buy lunch (which never ends well for me).
Enjoy the day!

So last week when I had a doctors appointment I mentioned to the doctor my frustration with not losing any weight. I advised that I workout 6 hours a week and that I track what I eat on Spark. He essentially called me a liar and told me (twice) I must not be tracking everything. I told him I even track the teaspoon of sugar I put in my tea. He then repeated You need to go to Weight Watchers. I wanted to smack that man. I am not a violent person but here I am expressing my concerns with him about what I am doing he is answer is I am lying on the food counter and I need Weight Watchers. UGHHH!

So today I caved and joined Weight Watchers on line. I already don't like it. I hate counting points or having to input it to figure out how many points I have left in my day. Calories I can add up in my head if I am away from my computer or phone. Points I am clueless about. I logged in what I ate on both Spark and Weight Watchers and I am on track on both. Seems like a waste. I may only do it for a month to see how to track what I eat.

Congrats on your loss so far. That is great! I am working on upper body toning myself for summer. I may not reach my ultimate goal of 44 pounds by summer but I plan on being 1/2 way to it by then.

Doing great so far! Down a total of 32 pounds. So, I changed my goal.
Focusing on the small "attainable" goals and before I know it, I've reached the big ones. It really is all about one day at a time. If I look to far ahead, I get discouraged.

Proud to finally be able to use 40lb dumbells for my standing rows!! This Mom of 5 is determined to have some nice guns come summer!

Feeling good that my official weigh-in is down a pound despite a less than stellar weekend! Keeping the momentum. Also feeling hungry right now--augh! I ate breakfast, but apparently it was not filling enough (despite being a little higher than normal in calories--doh!). I think I'm going to grab an orange and some cashews so that I won't be ravenous by lunch. Wish I'd brought a yogurt to work today!

Oh, and this is big for me! I brought my gym bag to work! LOL. That means I at least MIGHT stop at Curves on my way home. ;-)

On Friday I purchased a used DVD from FYE store. It was the Jillian Michaels 20 minutes cardio Kickboxing. It has 3 different workouts on the DVD. I have to say I LOVE IT. I don't know if I could handle a full 30 minutes of her but 20 Minutes seems to work great. I highly recommend it to get you sweating.

We induced so that my husband would be home to see his sons birth and then he left for 10 months. I raised my son alone for almost the first year by myself so I understand where you are coming from. When they are smaller it is often hard to find the time for yourself without feeling guilty about it. My suggestion is exercise in small burst. If he is napping workout even if it is just for 10 minutes of a video tape. Those 10 minutes can really add up to weight loss. You do not have to workout an hour a day, you just have to make the few minutes you have count while watching what you eat.

Kudos for taking the steps to better your life. I always worry about being the fat mom that embarasses her kids as well. That is why I working hard on being the hot mom everyone wishes they were (giggle).

Im doing better....not great but better. Im ready to get this week over and start a new one. I hate having such a busy life, not having enough time for my son and not having any time for myself. Its very hard to handle raising a child by myself. But Im strong enough to do this though. I need to get healthy for me and for my son! I don't want to be the fat mom!

Had a great day today. If did one hour of dancing this morning and then bowled 3 games with the family this afternoon. For dinner I made grilled shrimp, asparagus and rice for dinner. I stayed in the middle of my calorie range. This is huge since it is so hard for me to stay track on the weekend. YAHHHH

I ran a 5k this weekend. First one this year. Pushed my little girl in the stroller. That was much harder than I expected. Got it done in 36 minutes. My hubby even joined. He finished in 33 minutes. Great start to the running season. I'm excited for the next 5k. emoticon

So far this weekend has not been as bad with diet but I have only worked out 45 minutes today. Tomorrow I am off of work so I am hoping to get alot more time in. I have been enjoying the first weekend home with my hubby. But I have been eating well. Yesterday I made Chicken White chili and tonight was a Greek salad.

So today is weigh in day. I lost 1.5 pounds this week, which is a good healthy weight but my scale yesterday said I had lost 2 pounds so I am a little disappointed. Maybe that 1/2 pound will go with next weeks weight in and I will lose 2 as well. My goal is 1.5 pounds a week to reach my 20 pound goal in 14 weeks so I am happy. 18.5 pounds left to go.m:)

So today is day one and I am excited to start our new challenge. I was sick yesterday but I managed to push myself harder today than I planned. Because today is our normal day of rest for the READ TEAM I decided to just do 30 minutes on the bike. Was going to just walk on the treadmill but felt lame about doing that so I pushed myself. I am glad I did.

I decided to stop listening to me and start listening to spark today. I exercise 3 times more than I report on my exercise report and therefore I should be eating more calories. I do not eat more calories because I always feel like I should not because i am trying to lose weight. As a result of listening to myself I have worked out over 300 minutes a week the entire month of January and only lost 1.5 pounds since New Year. 1200 minutes of fitness and only 1.5 pounds lost. SAD!!!

This morning 20 minutes on the bike and 2 toning videos. However I did some snacking this weekend. Hoping to get another 30 minutes in tonight and NO SNACKING!

So yesterday I took the entire day off as it was my daughters birthday. I ate okay. I went over a little however I have been exceptionally good today and have been cleaning may house since 10 a.m. and have just sat down now at about a quarter to Six. I have managed to do about 4 loads of laundry, repacked and organized my Christmas directions, moped floors, vaccumed, etc. Hopefully my scale on tuesday will reflect my efforts as I have worked out 12 days out of 13 so far this year.

Today was suppose to be my cardio free day but I decided to work out anyway since I was already up. So far so good. Last night I managed to get in an extra workout when my friend and her three daughters came over. We had a wii dance off which was fun for the kids. So I did manage to get a Mommy and me workout in for my daughter. Now I am going to have to come up with something else equally as fun. My Daughter's 8th birthday is Saturday so I am trying to come up with something fun to do with her. Her sleepover party is not until the next Saturday.

So this morning I did zumba my daughter was cracking me up. The whole time I am dancing she is telling me I am not doing the Salsa because that is not how they do it in dance class. HA HA! That being said she has only taken dance class at the studion for 8 months now and she did a spanish dance in the Nutcracker ballet. Needless to say now salsa in the Nutcracker. I am determined to get her butt dancing with me a few times a week. She Wii dances with me sometimes but I want to get her doing at least 30 minutes a day 2 to 3 days a week during the winter time.

I took a week off of exercise. I know if sounds crazy but it actually worked. I lost another pound. Sometimes I get so obcessed with trying to lose weight I do to much and do not see any results on the scale. So I decided last week to read a few books and stop working out so hard. I watched what I ate all week but I just did not log it. It actually worked in my favor. So now that have hit reset and I am back to working out 6-7 days a week again. Happy to say I hit 185 last week.

Just joined this team! I work 40+ hours as a RN at a long-term care facility. Then I have a one year old, a fourteen year old step child, and a 20 year old. We are crazy busy most days. I had the whole week off work so I decided to take this chance to re-boot my fitness. I have not lost the baby fat and have not been happy with myself in the mirror. So far this week I have been going strong since tuesday. Today is a good day!

Happy to say I did get more of a workout in last night. I worked in the yard from 6:30 up until 8:30, cutting grass, watering the lawn and garden boxes, pulling weeds out of my deck, cleaning up my back yard and then worked on cleaning the house until 9:30. Amazingly enough I still have a dirty house. So I guess I will have to do this for a couple nights. I am going to start calling my daughter hurricane Payton. She leaves a path wherever she goes. ha ha

LOL that's funny!
I need to work out - I'm just so drained when I get home. I've been putting in almost 11 hour days here at work and it's exhausting

If HE leads you to it, HE will see you through it.

So I worked out twice yesterday. It was great then I get up this morning and I get 25 minutes of cardio blast in when my son reminds me I am suppose to be at a honor roll breakfast at school in 25 minutes. Nothing like throwing on body spray, deodorant, applying makeup while my face is still splotchy from the workout. Is sure hope I did not offend anyone this morning. HA HA! But I will say I looked dang good for getting ready in 20 minutes. ha ha!

Sounds like fun! Unfortunately when they start elementary school your vacation plans revolve around the school year. We have rented cabins for the past couple years on vacation. We save money on not eating out three meals a day and have more room to relax without being on top of one another. Hotel rooms get cramped when their are 2 adults and 2 children.

We are leaving for South Haven, MI in 2 weeks! It's so fun with lots of walking all around the little town and the beach. My son is almost 2 and we have found that renting a house is an awesome way to vaca so we all have our space and Wades routine can be similar as home. I'm also glad we will b cooking most our meals at the house so no excuses! Mainly looking forward to beach fun, shopping, quality relaxation with the family and our hot tub every day!

If I went on your diet I could probably loss it but no one would want to be around me if I only ate 900 calories a day. I would probably bite someone. ha ha!

That is actually 29 pounds. I am happy though, last week when I came back from vacation the scale said I had gained 4 pounds which I argued with because I worked out every day while on vacation. Now the scale is back down. The only thing I can think that may have cause it was we did eat pork almost every day. Bacon, sausage, porkchops. It am thinking too much sodium = water weight gain. Maybe by Friday I can start showing a loss again. Keeping my fingers crossed. It just was not making sense that I work out 7 days a week and watch what I eat 99% of the time and not seeing a loss. I am hoping to be down to 186 by Monday May 1st. though that is under my goal of 6 pounds a month. In order to reach my first goal of being down to 175 by June 1 I will need to lose 14 pounds in 5 weeks and three days. I will need to lose a little over 2.5 pounds a week to get to that first goal. I am going to have to do some extreme dieting to reach that goal.

19 lbs isn't that far at all, I dont think. Then again I weigh more than you and it's a lot for me to get to 160. LOL

This year's summer vacation will be in the mountains again. A little laser tag in the mountains, swimming, hiking, rafting, etc. I can also go there and stay in a cottage for one/third of what disney costs me. I want to be down to 160 by then but I have a long way to go.

That's why I'm glad we're on a cruise and not walking an amusement park. PLUS they have activities planned for the kids each day so they don't get over stimulated and become those kids no one wants to claim.
LOL

When the kids where 4 and 6 we did Disney and it was tooo much for them. They where exhausted and fighting with each other the whole time. We even went back to the hotel around 3 p.m. every day to let them have a nap but they still fought. I think next year when they are 8 and 10 they will be a little better behaved needing less naps and getting along. Nothing like grumpy overstimulated little ones fighting to ruin a vacation. ha ha!

We are going on the cruise out of Galveston, so we don't get to go to Disney island or anything like that.
I'm just excited to go - my daughter and son have never been on a real vacation (unless you count weekend trips to San Antonio or Austin) so this is going to be a real treat. My only regret about this is that my son probably won't remember much of it since he's going to only be 3 - but I still think he'll have an amazing time.

Motivation to get skinny for Micky! Ha Ha! We went to Disney a little over two years ago and We want to go back again next year. We can only do it every few years because it ends up costing us several grand to go. We normally just go on a couple 4 day mini vacations a year. We just did Williamsburg, VA and I think we are going to do Natural Bridge in August this year. They have a drive through zoo, where you feed the animals from the car, a drive in Movie Theatre (my husband is dying to go to), caverns and lots of hiking, swimming and paddle boats. Hopefully by next year my daughter will be more willing to ride more rides. She was brave last year at Busch Gardens and tried some new rides so I am going to try and get her to ride more stuff this year so we can prepare for next. ha ha!

Sounds like an enjoyable vacation! Spring Break here, we didn't do anything. :(

However, we are going on the Disney Cruise in November so I'm totally stoked for that

So we went off for 4 days on Spring break vacation. I did okay on my diet. I only went over by a couple hundred calories a day, which is good for me on vacation but it was an extremely active vacation. Also of walking! We did a museum on Thursday, pirate putt Putt on Thursday, Colonial Williamsburg for 4 hours on Friday and fishing, Busch Gardens for 11 hours on Saturday and Busch Gardens for 5 hours on Sunday. Alot of walking the entire vacation.

My husband did the B12 shot once a month thing and it really worked. The B 12 pill does not do half as good. I helps speed up your metabolism and at 900 calories a day you will be dropping weight like crazy. Girl you might be wearing a bikni by the end of summer!

I have to stay between 900-1200 calories a day
One of the things he gave me is an appetite suppressent and I have to say - It works! I have to force myself to eat. Yesterday I BARELY hit the 900 calorie mark
I get a B12 shot once a month, a pill for my blood pressure, a dietary supplement and that's it

If HE leads you to it, HE will see you through it.
