I always include jams & butters I have canned in gift boxes we mail. This year we also include a lot of dried fruits & veggies we sent to kids who live in Alaska. Son said the 4 year old was eating dried tomatoes like they were candy!

I used some of my garlic on Christmas Day, does that count?
I did, however, put some collards my hubby cooked for me into ball jars and threw them in the freezer for later enjoyment!

I gave away some Apricot jam, Spicy tomato chutney, Plum sauce as well as Crabapple jelly and Green Tomato pickle. Still have tons on the shelf. Looking forward to all the Blackberries I'll be picking soon, not sure what I'll make of them but I'll figure out something.

I hope everybody here had a great Christmas and I look forward to a prosperous new year.

Peace and long life - Jules

I found a recipe for manwich sauce this summer when I was looking for ways to use my tomatoes, so, when all the kids and grandkids came for Christmas eve we had sloppy joes for dinner.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas

I always give jams/apple butters away as teacher/bus drivers gifts. I did try a new recipe called Christmas Jam this year. It is tasty and very Christmas tasting!

I'm not hosting or cooking today but I'll be handing out some of the Christmas Jam for hostess gifts!

Merry Christmas!!

What are you putting out from your canned goods to use for your meal. I am using Jellied Cranberry Sauce I Put Up last month. Have you given any away as gifts?
