Alot of people have the Late Blight and have lost their crop entirely. I have been able to save mine. But, I will not have the amount of tomatoes i should have had. The blight cut back on the production greatly. For those who do not yet have the blight, or it is just starting use 3 1/2 Tbs. of Copper Sulfate powder in 1 gallon of water; place in a spray bottle and spray the entire plant. Remove all the dead parts from the plants if possible. Between plants wash your hands in bleach water to avoid spreading the blight to the next plant. It will prevent the blight in those that do not have it, and slow down or stop the blight in the ones that do have it so you can get some tomatoes for your efforts. You can also put the Copper Sulfate on in powder form. Do it regularly during the rest of the season to keep the blight at bay if you have anything left to use the Copper Sulfate on.

Thank heavens you got some tomatoes at least. Last year between the parrots and the lousy weather I hardly got any. Very frustrating

I had that problem last year, I finally found out that the King Parrots were nibbling on them while they were green. I had to cover the bed in netting. They also chewed my geraniums in the hanging baskets off as well.

It seems to be six of one and half a dozen of another.

I had a terrible problem this year with blossom end rot, but it affected only my Romas. All of my other varieties are doing great. Must have been the cruddy weather - no rain for weeks, then suddenly too much.

I hate to do all that work early in season only to end up with nothing!!

The copper sulphate also works on the fungus that appears on zucchini plants.

Be sure to take off the affected leaves ASAP before they spread the blight.

Thanks for the heads-up! I still have the fungicide from several years ago; will hunt it down tomorrow.

I don't know if everybody everywhere has the Late Blight, but it is here in WV. I took a sample of my Tomato plants to the local extension office and it was ID'd as Late Blight. They said it was early this year. The leaves get spotty and then turn brown from the bottom of the plant and the blight goes upward eventually killing the entire plant. When it gets on the Tomatoes they look kind of scabby. The solution is the catch it early. It is spread by rain splash and the infected plants touching one another. I was told to use Copper Sulfate to help destroy the Blight. It is available at any local Hardware Store. It usually comes in powder form, use 3 1/2 Tablespoons per gallon of water and mix it up and place in a spray bottle. You can use 10 Tablespoons of lime in the spray if you want to. Spray your plants completely every few days. Directions should be on the Copper Sulfate bag. The extension office also recommended removing the damaged part of the plants one plant at a time and washing your hands in Bleach water between each plant. At the end of the season spray with bleach water; your tomato stakes, fences or whatever your tomatoes were trellised on to destroy the blight that might remain on these items so they don't help the blight to return next year. Destroy the infected plants at the end of the season by burning or putting them somewhere that they can't infect anything else. This has saved my plants. I hope this helps someone else.
