I usually start my pepper plants in Feb. Then the tomatoes a little later. It depends on the weather how early we can get the garden tilled and planted. Do you raise your cabbage plants in the house or greenhouse? Mine always get too tall and spindly if I raise them in the house. Maybe I am missing a trick to the trade!! I usually start them and put them on the porch.

paul,

Glad you got to spend time with your mom on her birthday. What a nice blessing!!

It is cold here today. About 5 when I got up and maybe up to 11 now. The wind is nasty when it blows. Oh well, I'll just dream of spring and planting the garden!!

Have a good day everyone,
Glenna

Hi everyone!

It was beautiful in West Virginia today!! But---we have to payback starting tomorrow. We are supposed to get the rain, sleet, and snow, also. With significant accumulation. What ever that means!!! I know what it means all too well!! I guess it is winter, but I still enjoy the sunshine and warm temps!

Have a good weekend,
glenna

Since we are giving weather reports, here goes for NE Ohio...We have been getting lake effect snow. Sunday, Mon, Tues and weds...Total in my yard = 2' 8". Then a break on thurs, Friday just a trace of snow and today = absolutely wonderful...In the 40's...BUT Tomorrow will be sleeting Rain and snow mix, temps dropping to the teens for the high and single digits for the lows. Monday 12 to 24" of snow expected over the ice from Sunday.

Here in south central New England, we went from 5 F yesterday morning to 40 today (anticipated) and 50 tomorrow - but the below-freezing temps are due back in on Monday or so.

We're expecting rain, sleet, snow, and of course gloom of night here in Wisconsin. Good weekend to get out the Christmas decorations and freeze some of the huge bag of squash we bought at the farmers market.
