I don't have any furry friends that belong to me. Our apartment complex doesn't allow pets. Not to say that no one there has a cat or dog though! But it's too small a place for a dog to me.
However, one of my best friends has a dog that I love! His name is Khan and he looks stupid. Really smart, friendly, and protective dog though. He's 2 or 3 years old, I think, and I forgot what they said he was. Just a stray they picked up though. They also have another puppy that drive me nuts, and six cats.

We have 2 fish tanks in our home.
4 Cats -
Buffy- an orange tabby we also call buff master- he runs our place.
Tabatha- a pure black cat that hates people but loves us, go figure.

Ozzie & Harriot- brother and Sister.
Ozzie is our trouble maker in our home. Loves to cause trouble with out dog.
Harriot is our princess. She is a princess in every way and she knows it. She also looks like she is wearing mascara on her eyes.

1 Dog named killer. My son named him & the name has stuck with him. He is a jack russell, rat terrior. A pure brat.

I think we have an interesting family.

There is a light at the end of every tunnel.........just pray it's not a train!!!

Thanks Sarah for you input. I decided to post again to keep Jersey's topic on the team page.

We don't have any pets right now. My husband and I are both dog people, but our apartment will only let us have cats. So, we're waiting until we get a real house so we can have a dog.

Erin--I've worked with shelter dogs a couple of times, that had issues acclimating, and the only advice I have is to give them time. Eventually they will realize that they are in a safe place and that you are their friends. Just make sure that you've got as regular of a routine as possible so that they aren't constantly being surprised by new stuff going on. That's the best advice I've got. :-)

Yeah it is but I do not really think he knows what he has done when he does it. I usually just steps on the controller right after I place it on the floor. It is funny that he has the suprised look when he hears the xbox fire up. He has done it like 10 times now and recently he has looked at the controller before placing his paw on the big button. I think I have a messed up dog. He has a 5th toe. I though dogs only have 4? My other beagle has four.

It's like the gamer version of a dog bringing his master his shoes and the paper! That's great, lol!

All my cats do for me is tear up papers and my carpet. Doh.

What a talented dog. I wish I could say as much for the beagle that lives behind us. Do you have your 360 on automatic turn-off? My toddler was hitting the big power button and I would come home with my box powered up. Well...two days of having it on all day and my 360 was ready to be sent to TX.

The settings I have now are: 1) on boot up, go to the dashboard, 2) turn off automatically after long inactivity, 3) keep downloading after turn off. The last one is really useful for downloading demos or movies. You shut the box off and everything is ready in the morning.

Now that you mention that Ryan. My little dog has turned on my xbox 360 on several occasions. It is a good thing because I was about to play Halo 3 on it. So its already fired up by the time I let them out.

I have a dog named Buddy. I know, I know...it is generic, but he's a good dog. Half border collie and half black lab. Probably has more energy than I can deal with and can usually outsmart me too. He's got a bag full of tricks, but doesn't quite know how to play video games yet.

I have an evil cat named Callie, a Miniature Schnauzer named Tansy and an African Grey parrot named Bubby. He's not furry but he's feathery if that counts!

Two pugs (they seem to come in pairs) named Lola and Zoe. Different personalities but both are sweet, personable, and love to snuggle under the covers.

I have two beagles, one named Keila and the other one Snoopy. Keila is a full breed beagle that for some reason doesn't look it since she is lacking the white in the face area. She is going on 4 years old come February. Snoopy is also a full breed beagle according to the breeder. I have no papers to support that but I am starting to think he is the runt of the litter. He is only 5 months old and eats alot but doesnt not gain any weight. Wish that was the case with me. Keila is somewhat overweight but with the addition of Snoopy to the family she has become more active and has lost a couple of pounds which in dog weight that like 20 human pounds.

My husband and I have three cats: Frances (mom), Sydney (daughter), and Echo (son). They were rescued early this year by a local organization, and we've had them since late April. We've been trying to gain their trust for months, but it's a battle. They still run away from us when we try to interact with them. :( I know it takes cats up to a year to acclimate to their environment, but these cats don't even want to be petted! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

We also have a dog that we took in back in June (must just be the year, eh?). She's a spaniel/German Shepard mix. She *is* friendly and we love her to death. Her name is Onyx.

We have a 15-year old cat named Kitty. Gary got her when he was a teenager and I inherited her when we moved in together. She's got a squashed face and I have no idea what breed she is but she looks like a furry gremlin. She also has a tumor on her shoulder, so we call her TumorCat. Despite the tumor, which she's had for a long time, she's lived for quite a few years. We think it's the source of her immortality ;)

Okay so I made a suggestion to this and was told to run with it... Every few days I will post a question so we can all learn new stuff about our fellow teammates...

*Do you have any furry friends in your life? If so how many? What kind? and what are their names?
