Ah, that's what I was getting at. The computer needs an upgrade. Like cute Korean stuff? You could try Ragnarok Online. It's less memory intensive than games like WoW.

I played Ragnarok for years with my husband. Yes, my husband played. He was very into the stat builds. It's easy to uber min-max if you want to, etc.

That's true...but if you love playing games online and there aren't any for the PS3...you can see where I'm going with that train of thought.

I can spout off good mmo's for the PC all day long. :P

So what's up on the computer front? You said you used to be into online gaming big time. Did your computer die?

Oblivion is certainly the god of all side quests, but you said all you had was a PS3. Borrow a buddy's 360 and get Oblivion. :P

thats why i love mmo's because when you get bored with doing one thing you can just level up some of your other skills or do quests

LOL, I can understand that given the feel of the game.

I enjoyed watching my husband play it. He never got around to finishing it though. It's uber easy to just do side quests for hours and hours.

Oblivion plays much like an MMOG, minus the whole playing with others thing. When I was playing it, I kept finding myself wondering where my group went.

Thanks for clearing that up. Since I was in the video game store the other day I just heard them talking about it. I thought it was.

Oblivion is very, very involved and expansive, but it is still only a single-player game to my knowledge.

Is oblivion an MMORPG. I hear that it was and that you can spend a lot of time playing that game.

As much as I like MMOGs, I have trouble envisioning a good one on a console system. I know there have been attempts in the past (FFXI and EQOA come to mind) but most people I know find the PC versions superior.

That is true. However, I have heard rumors that XBOX 360 will be getting some of those types of games going pretty soon. I have to try to find the source again but I do believe they are looking at maybe World of Warcraft on XBOX. So we will see what happens with that.

The mmorpg market is pretty much PC based. I haven't heard of any mmorpg titles going to console lately.

Oh so thats what that means. Thanks for letting me know. I have trouble with acroynms of all these types of video games. I was wondering at one point what fps meant and found out it was just first person shooters. Not sure about those type of games for ps3.

I think I sound dumb for asking but what does mmorpg stand for. I know the last three letters mean role playing game. So what doe the first 4 initials stand for.
