I have to say the worst game I just spend $69. was the collectors edition of two worlds....HORRIBLE.. the graphics looked like ps2 quality or lower. And we have an awsome 65' tv... it was so laggy and skipped during game play. I played it for 10 minutes and was mad I bought it from bestbuy, cause you cant return anything there. I tried to trade in at Game stop...they will give me $10...*sigh* Oh well at least i have a pretty box/ map..since the box was the seller for me :/

Wait. Wait!

Did you say that they made a game out of the magna carta? What did they expect?

Worst game... well I would have to go with Escape from Bug Island. Its a Wii Survival horror game... I picked it up at Wal*Mart for $19.99 And man it was a dud. You spend your whole time running around fleeing from these giant bugs. -_- Normally I love survival horror, but this did not live up to my expectations, especially after playing Silent Hill Origins. (Guess it is not a fair comparison...) But the box boasts that it is the "creepiest survival horror game for the Wii"... somehow I think Sadness will shame this game badly.
Definatly going to have to put this as the worst game I've played. Though Magna Carta for the PS2 was pretty bad, and Raymond Rabid Rabiits for the 360 made me want to gouge my eyes out... apox!

I agree with you about Animal Crossing. I love Natsume (yay Harvest Moon!) but Animal Crossing held no appeal for me.

Oh I loved the Brain Academy, but I like the DS one better. You really have to like puzzles though. If you don't then forget it, it would bore you to tears.

I LOVE the Sims, but can't stand MySims on the DS. Not sure about the Wii one as I haven't really played it much so can't comment fairly on that.

Animal Crossings... I do not get the hype. I thought it so boring I sold it. MySims on DS is basically Animal Crossings, so this could be the reason I didn't like it.

So many games, so little time!

Now that you mentioned it I watched Game Head yesterday and they said the same thing. Giving the game 6 out of 10 stars.

You know, I can't quite say... the whole family thought it was boring, and not a good fit for the wii (nothing you can't do with a traditional platform---forgive my use of words, I'm a newbie). The types of questions/tasks were too repetitive, and in general, just not as much fun as I'd hoped.

What was wrong with the game. Maybe sharing your thoughts on it will help us in our purchases.

Wow-- I can't believe what everyone is saying the worst games they ever played were. The Sims? Pirates? Pong? These are all fantastic games that changed the way we play games today.

The worst game I ever played was Superman for the Atari 2600. This thing was bad in a box.

WORST OF 2007: I got to play a lot of great games in 2007. But you can't eat filet mignon every night; sometimes all you're offered is broccoli. At least its' good for you, though — while the games on this list have no nutritional value whatsoever.

1. "Manhunt 2": Rockstar Games' strategy — offend the watchdogs, reap the publicity, then sell a substandard product — reached its nadir with this ugly, unplayable mess. It begins with a lunatic flinging human waste at you; after about an hour, you'll want to fling "Manhunt 2."

2. "Vampire Rain": You're part of an elite commando squad hunting vampires, but your high-tech weapons don't actually do any damage. Try to escape, and you're likely to run into an invisible wall. Why not just avoid the whole fiasco in the first place?

3. "Deal or No Deal": It couldn't be simpler. You pick one of 26 briefcases and gamble on whether it contains a lot of money. But the DS "Deal or No Deal" doesn't even get the gameplay right, and is even more sluggishly paced than the TV show. For $30, no deal.

4. "Lair": Sony lavished a lot of attention on this PlayStation 3 title, and it sure looks great. And who wouldn't want to fly a dragon? But with awkward, imprecise controls and lackluster, repetitive missions, "Lair" crashed and burned.

5. "Escape from Bug Island!": Kill giant insects (cool!) ... by poking them with sticks (wha?). "Bug Island" could have been campy fun, but its annoying characters, inane plot and wretched graphics destroy any desire to keep playing.

___

TURKEY SHOOT: Most buyers wisely stayed away for the games in our bottom five. But some of 2007's best sellers managed to annoy us, too:

Most disappointing: "Halo 3" (single-player), "Assassin's Creed,""Blue Dragon,""Heavenly Sword."

Enough already: The Tony Hawk series, World Wrestling Entertainment games, "Final Fantasy" remakes.

Worst feud: "Guitar Hero" vs. "Rock Band." Turns out "GH" controllers aren't compatible with the PlayStation 3 version of "RB" — and "GH" publisher Activision reportedly won't let "RB" designer Harmonix fix the problem.

Worst flaw in a great game: The aggravating inventory management system in "Mass Effect."

Worst voice acting: The desultory performances of Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman and Billy West in "The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night."

Worst cross-promotion: Playboy and Eidos'"cyber search" for the (mostly naked) woman who best embodied the "dangerous vibe" of "Kane & Lynch: Dead Men," a game about a vicious mercenary and his psychotic partner.

Most baffling: The Nintendo Wii, still hard to find more than a year after its debut.

I still have to say that any superman game should be the worst. Nothing worst then trying to fly and you get stuck between the walls. LOL.

Logo isn't a game... it's a programing language. If used properly it can be used to teach all the basics of programing. Saddly I don't think most of the teachers knew enough about programming to know what to do with it.

As for my worst game, it has to be Office Tycoon for the PC (I think I have that name right). No manual, no tutorial, no help file, no idea how to do anything. I tried to figure it out on my own but none of the controls seemed to do much of anything.

I found this post wayyy down the list and decided to bump it.

I would have to say Unlimited Saga for PS2 was the worst game I've played. It had an interesting pull (open-ended rpg), but very quickly you can lose track of what you should be doing to advance ANYTHING. I killed an ELDER GOD at one point and got NOTHING!! It didn't even advance my storyline. ~.~;; So yeah, that one got traded in.

I am not sure what the point of Logo was but to make shapes. I know we had to type in direction and we would have to enter them just like on the piece of paper. I guess they were teaching us hot to follow directions.

haha, we were talking about logo here in the office the other day. Wow, that brings back some memories again. I guess when your surrounded by nerds and older peoples, you tend to hang out with the nerds.. I fit right in. But was logo a bad game? (Learn-2-Type had some pretty boring games in it, stupid educational rubish)

The only thing I remember playing im middle school was that turtle named logo. At first I though it was a pretty cool game to make shapes but after finding I was actually learning it took the fun away. LOL. I actually got second place in a logo competition. Did you know that you can write a program to do other things in logo then just fwd 20 and right 90 all the time. I was shocked.

I'm 21 and i remember playing that on the computer in Middle school instead of doing my work so, think of it as a game that everyone experinces ( because my friends were playing it during the same class too ) and not as an old game.

Yeah flash games do pose a problem when they are not finished. I ate some tuna too so I guess ECO was not able to save his family from the tuna fishermen. Oh well.

haha, i was trying to be funny..

But I remember how big of a deal Ecco was... The controls were new and creative, the game play had an amazing style and the visuals were awesome for the sega... It only lacked any real reason to play it! I couldn't figure out what to do, or why I wanted to do it!

Worst games come in the form of Flash Games, which aren't completed.

Its okay, not everyone loves FPS. I never got the Simm's either. I always ended up having a fire in my house that killed a couple of people. Made me not want to have a stove in the house at all. LOL. I could see how you can get bored with such a game.

Sim Meier's Pirates. It was so repetative. You go on the ship, do a dance with a different lady then be on the ship, then dance again with another lady, then return to the ship. Not to mention the graphics were horriable!!! Thinking about it makes me sad.

So far the worst games I have ever played involve the Man of Steel. Superman 64, Superman Returns, in all reality all of them have been really bad. I was expecting a better game for one of the world renowned Heroes. Another game on my list of bad games is Spiderman 1, what in the world was the web he was shooting clinging too. In the battle with the green goblin I must have been swinging for a cloud or something because there were no buildings around me any where.

Just wanted to see what were everyones worst game to ever play. When we first buy them we think wow the preview looked good but when you play them it just blew chuncks all over the place. Post your experience with them here.
