I just started using Zumba Core last night and it was pretty good. I have Dance Central 3 as well and like they say on biggest loser if you have a floor you can work out.

I've done a lot of the Beachbody programs. Chalene Extreme, Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, 10 Minute Trainer, Brazil Butt Lift, a short stint of P90x, and half of Insanity before I blew out my knee. So, now that my knee is sore, I'm just sticking to my xbox and trying to keep it a bit more low key until I drop some more poundage. I will say that BB puts out great programs, I just don't think that some are meant for everyone. Insanity was a great program, and I never felt as impowered as when I could some of those moves, but you have to be so careful on stuff like that. I love the Turbo's and CE and 10 Min trainer the best though. TF is so much fun, but I need a break from it because I was doing it all the time.

Now I'm just shakin' my money maker on DC3 and Zumba!!! LOL!!

Oh, and Chickadee, don't feel bad, I worked out all of 2012, but apparently didn't watch my eating, because I lost NOTHING. Nada. Zilch. and I'm so unhappy with myself over it, but I just keep trying to say that this is my year to get my weight down and my aches and pains in check. (I'm talking to you knee....)

Right now I'm just committed to walking around the woods at least 10 minutes a day. I spent pretty much all of 2012 on my rear end (playing Evony, Final Fantasy, and others) and it shows. I hardly did anything active. I need to get my kinect Your Shape game back out, it helped me a lot in 2011. I'm just not sure I'm even up to the easiest routines on it yet. Ugh...why did I let this happen? Good luck to anyone else who needs to get back on track.

I never tried the Beach Body system, though I did look into their Slim in 6, since I like the idea of defined time frames.

I very recently started hooping (1-2 lb hoop, not the light kid kind, and not the ouchy heavy kind) and it is crazy fun!

I dont think I have heard of that game. Is it an APP for your phone or an actual game. I guess I could have just googled it but rather make small talk in here.

I've been doing a mix of things, though not as often as I should: 2-3 mile jogging paths, 30 minutes on the elliptical, or 5000m on the rower. I've been trying to do some body weight strength exercises too, since during our move a while back I gave away all my weights. Oh how I miss weight lifting for its results

What I think is real funny, is that I played Marvel Pinball on my PS3 two nights in a row for 60+ minutes (never played it before) and now deep in my forearms are sore muscles I didn't know I used. I like to mash them bumber triggers a bit too hard.

@RPGAMERGIRL: sounds like you've got a fantastic routine going. I'm jealous! except for the sweating part... I sweat like no one's business, so for my co-workers sake I avoid working out at lunch anymore, lol.

I still have my elliptical machine that I use. I do 2 days for 30 minutes and 2 days for 45 minutes. Recently, I decided that my lunch hour at work, which I am part time still :p, is perfect for a 30 minute cardio work out. I have my own office so it is easy for me to do. Even after my workout and lunch I still have around 10 minutes left, too. Plus, it keeps me from going out to lunch which always ends up costing me more money and giving me more calories everytime. I also get a huge burst of energy. The only thing that is blah about it is that I get sweaty. Paper towels, deodorant and body spray normally take care of that, though. Seems pretty much win win and win to me :D

I'm going to be picturing the M&M taking off it's shell now. I was giggling away when the "wiggle, wiggle, wiggle" part of "Sexy and I know it" came up. But I was picturing their stage act for that. emoticon

This is why I really like doing dance of any sort for fitness, it makes me laugh.

I first tried the high intensity ones first to see if i could push myself to do the workouts. Now I have been mixing it up so that I can do all the classes that are classified as short classes. I only downloaded the hip hop songs. I keep imagining the M&M taking his shell off and dancing with his milk chocolate showing the song plays.

I downloaded the hip hop songs and the bollywood songs. The hip hop pack is a lot of fun, it's very vigorous dancing! Actually the same can be said about the Bollywood pack, but I do love Bollywood dancing. I finally did a full class on low intensity the other day. It had the same effect on me as the 5k walk/jog did! Normally I try to do the medium length classes at various intensities, depends on how I'm feeling.

I am looking forward to the Zumba Fitness Core. It's funny, I'm so used to the songs on Zumba Rush now that don't find them that unfamiliar anymore. Plus they make you want to dance, even if you're just failing about with 2 left feet....like me. emoticon

@Hobbit-Kitty I have been doing just the short workouts too on Kinect Zumba Rush. I am getting close to do all of them before i dive into trying to do the med lenght classes. Did you download the new hip hop songs? I think they are 480 points for 3 new songs. Also Zumba Fitness core will be coming out later this year. Better more well known songs will be on it.

I had to spend the summer in the actual gym earning enough credits to use my school one, but I'm planning on getting back to UFC trainer this week a few day, and my husband is back on dance central!

I'm still using Zumba Fitnesss Rush, one day soon I'll get the courage enough to try out the long class. I'm also using Coach Nicole's 28 day Boot Camp dvd. It's a great time saver because she combines strengthen exercises with aerobic moves. I'm also trying to keep up my jogging on the treadmill after doing the 5K for fun run on SparkPeople, but my bunion has been flaring up bad. emoticon There's also the occasional dip in the pool.

My favorite thing to do is hiking. We have some beautiful trails where I live here in Ohio. My husband and I take our 2 miniature dachshunds and do a 3 mile trail at least twice a week. It has 2 huge hills, and the first time I went up them I thought I was going to die! Now I can do it and barely get out of breath:) My chubby little dogs are getting in great shape now too!

I have been doing Kinect Zumba Fitness Rush for the past two weeks and I have to say it really does give you a good workout. I am total drenched by the end of it and it doesnt seem like a long time once your done with the short workouts. I have been trying to get my fitness level back up and I have been feeling great this past week. What are you guys and gals doing to keep in shape. Let us know.
