I have to agree. However it seems that they are playing catch up a bit. First having to upgrade graphics to current gen standards and then adding what seems to be a 3DS type controller to it. I really want to see Zombie U in action. I might have to see when I go the Game Stop Expo in San Antonio this August.

Okay, honest opinion.

I think the WiiU has the potential to change the gaming industry - *if* game developers have some vision and develop for the platform correctly. It was no accident, IMO, that Nintendo's WiiU presentation was heavy with little AR (augmented reality) elements - the WiiU console is perfect for AR gaming. New games coming out, such as Ubisoft's Watch_Dogs will be perfect for the WiiU as well, and the ZombieU presentation showed how action games and FPS can and should use the new system. I'm very excited by the possibilities presented by the WiiU, and cautiously optimistic. Like all things Nintendo, I believe that they may be trying to push the future of gaming forward a bit too soon, and that the WiiU probably could have used another year in development, but the fact that the other consoles are already attempting their own copies of the system (Microsoft's SmartGlass, PS3's use of the PS Vita as a system controller/peripheral) speaks volumes as to the vision Nintendo is showing with this new system.

I really liked the Zombie U game. WHere it takes one bite and your game character life is over. The smart glass was Micosoft's version of the Wii U controller but using devices you already have like Ipads iphones android tablets and is suppose to enhance game play in a sort of way. Yes I was very disaapointed too that Nintendo did not reveal anything at the conference as to when it will release and colors or price. I am thinking that the way that they are doing things is not good and they will lose a very large fan base with this method of being secreative about it. I know most of the third party developers put holiday 2012 for the games so I would think the system would be out around the same time.

Wii U is an interesting, possibly cool concept, but without a price point, pack-in game, and reasonable line-up, there's not much reason to get one at this point. I missed the smart glass, will have to go check my rss for that one.

Honest opinion everyone. What did you think of the Wii U. DO you think Microsoft new Smart Glass will overcome the Wii U gimmick?
