So the iOS has a new running game out there: Zombies, Run! by Six to Start, It's expenisve for an App ($7.99 currently) but its a cool idea.
Basically, you wear your compatible iPod Touch or iPhone, hook up your headphones, and jog. While jogging you take the role of your character in a zombie game, and you start to hear zombies chasing you, WELL YOU BETTER SPEED UP! soon enough the noises fade and you can slow back down... Until you hear them chasing you again... Zombie Interval Training! It's an interesting concept, after your jog/sprints you see what your character collected during the run and can use it to build up your base in-game. Building your base allows you access to more runs and missions.
Since it's able to work with you on treadmills or anywhere, I want to say it's more of a Time-Based interval trainer, instead of a Pedometer/Accelerometer-based trainer. Still a cool idea, hope more games like this come out that combine the real world and games.
