Before Christmas I was playing CoD MW3 and Assassins Creed: Revelations.

Then I got Dead Island as a Christmas present and couldn't stop playing that for a month.

My husband just got Skyrim, so it's been on pretty much non-stop in our house, either me, my husband, or my brother-in-law playing - lol.

Skyrim by far got my most game time this past month, followed by Fruit Ninja, and KSS2. And Lobo - as for MS3 - I'm jealous - I have yet to start MS2 :-)

For online play, sign the online profile into the first controller and with the second controller, press (Y) to sign in as guest. I think it will bring up all the profiles on your console, then scroll to the bottom to see one called "Guest". It should be the same name as the first controller with a (1) after it.
EX: YagerMonster420 (on controller 1) and YagerMonster420(1) (on controller 2).

The key is you will not get to use your account if it's not a gold account and you cannot use a headset to chat with other players. Only gold accounts can chat. Hope this helps. :D

Thanks Yager! When we tried it with two we couldn't find any way to do a two person on xbox live :( We haven't tried anything with 3 yet (having a lovely harvest of games and this crazy thing called work, etc, to get in the way of getting through them!).

I will harass my DH to take care of that post-haste and CPT Science and ZombieLibrarian will ride again! (sorry, maniacal laughter gets in the way sometimes)

For MOXYJONES: You can do split screen (horizonally) multiplayer or co-op on Gears of War 1-3. You can also use 1 LIVE account for splitscreen online play. :D

Tara, those are excellent tips. I didn't think about timing my movements exactly to the dinging sound -- I'll try it and see if I feel any less like throwing something at the TV. :-)

As for DCUO -- it's pretty great. I enjoy it. I have a great league, though. They just released a "Flash" DLC and are coming out with another update -- I think it's probably crafting of some sort, which I'm kind of cringing about -- I really don't want to try to craft my own gear.

Anyway, thanks for the tips! And I'll definitely give Skyrim a little more effort. :-)

MoxyJones, Good Kincet games for work outs would have to be in my opinion. Biggest Loser, Dance Central 1 or 2, UFC Trainer, Yourshape Fitness Evolved i heard the newer version is better. But you are right there is alot of time spent between most exercises in some of these games.

Megami - I love EA Active 2! I was frustrated at some of the exercises at first because it was doing the same exact thing, but then I realized a lot of it was because my timing was off. When you do bent over rows for example, you need to pull up just as the ringing sound is made and/or the trainer queues you to move. Otherwise, if you move too soon it won't register your movement. For the running portions, make sure to swing your arms or else it will make you move slower by default.

But yeah, I've been having a blast trying to get all the achievements in the game and I've even joined a workout group for it! Skyrim is amazing so I would definitely say play it for a few more hours before you see how you feel about it. I used to play DCUO online myself when it first came out, how is it now?

I was playing AC: Revelations (thank you Santa!) and my husband was playing that and the big WWIII game. We got GoW3 but haven't played it yet (really hoping that the online multiplayer allows more than one of us playing on our system- that's what hurts us in the end). Santa also brought us a kinect so there has been some fun fruit ninja on that.

What are the good kinect exercise games? We are now in the market! :)

How are you liking EA Active 2, Tara? My husband bought it for me for Christmas and after using it twice, I am annoyed by it. Quite a few times it doesn't recognize movement or it takes too long between exercises.

I still haven't been able to get into Skyrim, but I think I'll give it another chance.

DCUO on the PS3 definitely took up my holiday gaming time. :-)

Well my holiday break started after finals on Dec. 15th, so at first I was pretty consumed with beating Amnesia: The Dark Descent on my PC. It's such an immersive game but I had troubles playing it before since it's so ridiculously scary and I had to take constant breaks from it lol. I finally got through the darn thing and now I'm mostly playing EA Active 2 and Skyrim by myself, and my fiance and I enjoy playing the new Super Mario Brothers Wii together too!

So what video game used up most of your holiday time off. Mine would have to have been Modern Warfare 3 followed by Dance Central 2 with Batman a close 3rd. I did not have a chance for Skyrim but hope to start it later this year prior to getting Mass Effect 3.
