If you already have Xbox, PSN, Steam or Facebook set up to share your info with other players (ie. someone on Xbox can click on your profile and see your achievements), then you are pretty much already sharing the info that will be shared on Raptr. It's been around for a while and I haven't heard of any privacy problems. The Executive Team are respectable people in the industry, coming from companies like EA and eBay. Several games podcasters use the service and I myself have never had a problem. But in the end, it's whatever you are personally comfortable with. Don't do anything you don't feel right about.

Now, if you've blocked your info from other console users, then this would practically be worthless because it can't pull the statistics from the various services. Also, if you want to track your PC gaming you have to be running the Raptr application when you play.

How safe is it? I would hate to give my information about my PSN and XBOX live accounts to be administered by a third party. Just with recent news about companies not being to private info. What do you need to provide them for this service.

I keep seeing some of the folks on Twitter using it and have been very tempted. Especially with so many ways of gaming these days, it might be nice to keep track of each other. Hmmm...maybe I'll go sign up. I'll post my account here if I do. Thanks for brining it up.

If anyone uses Raptr to track their game playing, I thought it might be nice to share account names so we can see what everyone else is playing. My Raptr account is "teviko604" if you want to connect.

If you are unfamiliar with Raptr, it is an online service that can track what games you play and for how long on all platforms (PC, Xbox, PS3, Wii, Steam, etc.). If you are interested, check it out at raptr.com/dashboard .
