I can definitely say that the PS3's version is better than the original 360's version...We had major issues with streaming speed/buffering before the 360's update of it, and I think the 360 had low resolution then too.
I would say that the quality on the PS3 is at least TV quality if not DVD quality (although I'm not an expert on figuring that). At any rate, I like it. :)

As far as consoles go, Netflix seems best on the 360 for several reasons. For starters, no disk needed. But also for the semi-ability of being able to adjust your lineup. Also, a friend has it on PS3 and says the aspect ratio is chopped, especially on the HD streaming. He's a movie hound though, I don't think the viewing is that noticably different to most.
As far as getting rid of cable; I don't have it now. I get everything from Netflix and online. The big setback is sporting events. Hopefully this will change if the rumored streaming ESPN comes to xbox.
I still have the disk for the PS3 on from netflix. I have yet to put it in the ps3 since I am constantly putting blue rays I get from netflix. If I want to get the netflix I just turn on the 360.

I stream Netflix through TiVo. We actually lowered our cable plan/bill because we watch so much Netflix! I wish my spouse would agree to get rid of cable altogether, since everything comes out on Netflix eventually, and it's cheaper.
The ads that freak me out on SparkPeople are the ones for "diet" cookies, muffins, etc.! They may say that they are lower calorie, but my eyes are saying "junk fooooooood"! lol It is painful. xD Thank heavens for Firefox/AdBlock! :P
That is hilarious; at my work, I have a lot of flash ads blocked. It is funny to come home and see a xbox ad here on spark people. It was for last.fm. I actually enjoy using last.fm a lot. Either when I feel like moving around, or cleaning, etc.
Did you all see the rumors about espn streaming live on the xbox? xbox and Disney have been in conversations and apparently it is about espn streaming, similar to SKY tv in Europe on the xbox. Europe was upset that they don't have Netflix on the box, but I'm jealous of their sky tv. Hopefully we'll get something similar to the already awesome netflix.
For those with other systems, have you tried netflix on it yet? I know PS3 has it now and Wii should have it soon if not already.
