Happy Thanksgiving, Ladies! You are all so organized!

I plan for everything in moderation. I'm putting smaller potions on my plate and will only have one plate. I will fill up on turkey and veggies to help.

Our meal will be at lunch time which helps and I'll have a banana for breakfast to tide me over. I'm helping my mom serve 34 of our relatives so I'll be on my feet a lot today burning some calories as a hostess. LOL

I planned a long run tomorrow morning to burn off the slice of pumpkin pie.

Have a great day!

- Janey

Good for us! Planning ahead will help us reach our goals! I'll be thinking of both of you this afternoon when I go for a long walk after dinner, and tomorrow morning when I'm sweating it out on the elliptical machine. :)

Great plan!

I am weighing myself everyday until Monday. I am not eating any sweets, or breads of any kind. I am sticking to eating meat and veggies. Yesterday was a great day and today will even be a better day. I am working too hard to allow a tradition to screw me up.

Enjoy your day ladies

Oh, I also logged my meals for this week.

Paralee,
Sounds like you have a great plan lined out...kudos to you and your trainer.

Well, my family is doing a potluck type dinner at Mama's house. I've already probed everyone to see what they'll be bringing and I'm bringing a healthy dish (my NeoSoul collards) and a pretty calorie reasonable dessert.

I too have already logged the calories of what I plan to eat (for breakfast, lunch, and snacks I plan to have protein shakes and will have the regular Thanksgiving stuff at dinner). And I have weighed as well as taken the measurements in my waist. But to be on the safe side, I have a Core Rhythms workout scheduled in the morning as well as one once I get home.

I've been averaging between 14-18 C. of water a day, so along w/ the food that I'll be bringing, my water bottle will also be in tow.

Thankfully, our family gathering will be laid back, so I plan to wear one of my nicer workout outfits (my snug fitting pants will serve as a reminder to practice discipline). Usually after dinner, we all pick a spot and take a quick nap before seconds, thirds or fourths. During this naptime I plan to get caught up on all of my SP postings (more motivation to stay on track).

All of this may sound a little extreme, but recently I've been so focused and am seeing such incredible results, I cannot afford to have one little slip up. Although all things can be done in moderation, I know myself. When it comes to homemade lemon meringue pies, chess pies, cobblers, sock-it-to-me cake, macaroni & cheese, etc. I have no idea what moderation is...so I've set up a plan and I'm sticking to it!

My trainer made me weigh in last night and is going to have me weigh in again Friday morning -- a little accountability never hurts, right? I've logged what I think I will eat tomorrow, including apple pie. :) If I follow my plan I will be *just* within my calorie allowance. And I have an appointment with my trainer for a workout Friday morning. What plans has everyone else made to get through the holiday with diet intact?
