I have no clue or opinion on what you should plant but all the choices have their merits. How can anyone not love fresh produce from one's own garden , right?
Good luck with whatever you choose. You are certainly ambitious!
Let's pray for an early Spring to lift our moods and warm the earth ready for planting!

peace, Fran

Well this elongated vacation is approaching itís close.

And just as I start to wax pensive on my elation the reality of the deicing season winds itís way into the planting season. And so Iím asking all of you for your help.

As my mail finally caught up with me, my annual selection of seed catalogs arrived. Normally by now I have selected, ordered, received, and started sowing the seeds indoors. So as I was reading this years selections I though of an easy SP-Team game. You decide on my plantings.

Hereís your assignment. Below are listed varietals I normally plant. From this list you choose the hybrids you enjoy.

From you nominations I will:

1) Calculate your votes to make the final determination.

2) Hybrids that wonít grow in zone four or the seeds are GM (genetically modified) are not elegable for selection.

3) Flowering plants nominated must also be edible plants.

(one additional note following each varietal there may be a number. Though you may desire to nominate more that one hybrid please refrain from nominating more than the number indicated. That number represents the number of hybrids I can fit comfortably in my garden without spoilage at harvest time.)

So here we go.
Asparagus (2)
Bush Beans (5)
Beet (5)
Broccoli (4)
Brussels Sprouts (2)
Cabbage (4)
Cauliflower (4
Carrot (5)
Celery (5)
Cucumber (5
Eggplant (3
Endive (2)
Leeks (3
Lettuce (5
Mustard (2)
Onion (5
Parsley (3
Parsnips (3)
Peas (6
Hot Peppers (3
Sweet Peppers (6)
Radish (5)
Spinach (4)
Squash (Summer) (5)
Squash (Winter) (5)
Tomatos (8)
Turnip (2)
Melons (10)
Vine Berries (6)
Creeping Berries (4)
Apple grafts (2 - 4)
Mums (6)
Other Flowering Annuals (3)
Other Flowering Perennials (9)

Should you desire you do not need to suggest hybrids beyond your favorites.

What are your choices? List your favs here in a post, post a comment on my SP-Page home page, or ZAP my an SP-Mail. It's all your choice.
