Well, being so fast with the shopping put a crimp in my plans; a few days after getting all the grand niece/nephew presents my sister called and she's not having the usual party so I see some toy boxes for poorer kids in my future.

I love getting boxes in the mail and delivered; I bought little tins of holiday M&M's I give out to delivery drivers and my mailman, etc. Gave one to a FedEx driver and only then figured out he delivered package 2 of 2, no package 1 of 2 (a bathmat, for me, no less; why they had to put the two bathmats in two packages I don't know) but he was back in a couple days (Saturday and Monday). He didn't get another M&M tin that time though :-) I just read that a major clothing gift to my husband is out of stock so I had to quickly find it somewhere else this morning; otherwise he'd just be getting socks, literally!

I'm almost finished mine; I have a lot of grand nieces and nephews I see Christmas Day and other family parties to go to with in-laws and grandchildren, etc. so I do "generic" gifts, one kind of boyish (nano bugs), one girlish (personal shake it up ice cream makers) and a few "surprises" (seasonal m&m's to give service people like the mail person, delivery people, acquaintances, etc.) and some interesting card puzzles for gift cards for older teen/college age relatives and then I can concentrate on what to get my husband.

In the last few years (since the economy got bad) I'm managed to at least halve my Christmas expenses each year but still get little gifts that matter/are "unusual".
