Ever heard of the book Guns Germs and Steel? Jared Diamond, I think, is the author, and he has a good explanation for how people got the idea to plant seeds. And I think drinking milk makes sense - we see the calves do it. I question the sense of eating lobster - what did we ever see eating that?!?

I wonder how they figured out how to make bread. I imagine it was like this: Caveman 1: Hey look at that tall grass over there. Let's mow it down and grind it up. Caveman 2: Wow, that's a cool idea. Caveman 1: And we'll take that chicken over there and get one of those things it poops out, and we'll mix that into the ground up grass. Caveman2: Awesome idea!!! Let's go get that stuff out of the cow's boobs, too! We can mix it all up together!!! Caveman 1: This is gonna be so gross!!! Caveman 2: Maybe it won't be gross if we heat it up. Caveman 1: You're right. Let's heat it until it turns solid. Caveman 2: This stuff is great!!!! We're so smart!

I wonder how humans first discovered that saving the seeds from foods they ate could be used to grow more food. I realize that this happen thousands of years ago, but what an advancement for humans that must have been.
Yes, I remember being teased that a watermelon would grow inside of me if a swallowed a watermelon seed. I am sure I thought that is what happen to the next pregnant woman I saw. It is a good thing we have all those acids and enzymes inside us isn't it ?
