Well, as I don't live in the states I used a different pectin from the one suggested in the recipe....

SO... - turned out more like syrup than jelly. Tastes pretty good and even though I used green coloured rose hips the final product is still a pretty pink colour.

I think I'll bottle it as rose hip syrup instead..

Rose hips are the seed pod of the rose, once the flowering is completed.
Another page called them Rose Hawes - which was a term I wasn't familiar with.

I have never heard the term rose hips.

No, but when we were growing up we had rose hip soup frequently, and you can buy rose hip tea. I didn't get around to deadheading my climbing rose this year and now I have a ton of rosehips coming. Maybe I'll try something.

Rose hips are a great source of Vitamin C

Has anyone make a body scrub with rose hips before? If not perhaps a rose hip jam.
