My red dress motivates me. I bought it for a Christmas dance in Grade 12. The zipper did up but when I went to shimmy it off, I ripped the zipper. I got it fixed but never felt 100% amazing in it. Fast forward 3 years, I put it on two days ago after losing 10 pounds and it fits better than ever. I have the pics on my Spark Page to remind me to keep going.
Also I want people to keep asking me if I've lost weight and actually mean it.
I want to feel more excited about trying on wedding dresses! I don't want to try them on while I'm not at my goal weight. Thankfully, I only have about 5lbs to go before I get there. I also want to be able to feel better about myself around my fiancé. I hate feeling chubby around him because it always turns our moods sour. He hates that I don't see how beautiful he says I am. I want to see what he sees. :)

My successes tend to motivate me the most. Every time the scale drops by a tiny bit or my clothes start to get a little too loose, I feel awesome and just want to keep going! A lot of it also is just remember how great I felt when I was down to like 140-150 the last time and now I really, really want to feel like that again!

hahahaa I think I will send this is an email...Sparkpeople now has it added to the list of motivational suggestions whatever(i don't know what it's called hahaa) anyways. I make an inspirational board(well it's a wall now) and I post measurements, goal pics(i need to put up some progress pics) and whatever else might help. And then when I'm feeling unmotivated, I take some time and take everything down and put up new stuff. It works for me, plus I'm thinking about getting this really cute secretary dress I saw, but it's hmmm hahah curvy so it would definitely be a goal outfit.
My main form of motivation is reading the spark pages that are being highlighted as fitness achievements or motivation achievements etc. It's what made me get out of bed yesterday morning and take my dog for a walk.
My other form of motivation are goals. But I'm not very good at being motivated by goals. I'll say that I'll reward myself a certain way for reaching a goal, but it doesn't feel tangible and it doesn't motivate me the way it should. So I'm trying something else.
Yesterday while shopping for a dress for my friend's wedding reception, we stopped by Guess so I could drool over the purses. There was a purse I *really* wanted to have. So I bought it. BUT there's a rule. I have to lose 10 pounds before I can have it :D
It's staying in my closet until the day I lose 10 pounds and I think having something tangible to hold and look at as my reward will help.
So how do you motivate yourself?? Post pictures if you can!
