I always try to do some of my workout around my son (and of course encourage him to play outside as much as possible)
He loves when I put on a workout video and I give him 1/2 pound weights to use when I use mine.
He's only 5 but I dont think it's a bad thing to get him into a habit like that!
As long as he supervised I think it'd be fine!

Both of my children (11 and 9) use our treadmill when the weather doesn't cooperate. I have taught them both how to use it and they are very careful with it. They love it.

So many kids don't really have the opportunity to get outside as much so I do think it is okay as long as the child is taught to use it properly and when you are around to monitor so it is not excessive use. I think it is great if the child wants to especially!!

Everything you want is right there, just outside your comfort zone.

I would monitor it closely as injury could easily occur were she to fall, etc. If she is using it because of weather, etc. then I think it would be fine. If the weather permits get her outside as much as possible. Kids will get a lot of exercise from running and playing -- even more if they have a friend to play with.

Not as long as she keeps it light. I woundn't have her runnin miles or anything, but just walkin or casual runs Im sure would be fine.

Just wondered if my 9 year daughter should be on the treadmill at her age? Would it hurt her bone development or body in anyway?
