That's a really good idea. Sometimes you don't realize how much of something you have until you force yourself to cut it out! And by only focusing on one thing at a time, you don't feel like you are overwhelming yourself!
I wanted to share what my family is doing and to see if anyone else wants to join for encouragment. I know I need it! Last month my husband, my two boys (11 years and 9), and myself had a great discussion on getting healthy and helping each other. So we decided on monthly challenges to help us make better decisions. Hoping maybe some of it would stick. In May we did the Fried Food Challenge. We could eat nothing that was submerged in oil and cooked, which by the way is everything we love! It was interesting to realize how much of it we eat. We get french fries, or chips and salsa, Taco Bell, etc. We did it!!!! We then went out to eat at Golden Corral 1 June to celebrate eating anything we want. We did this too because of their desert bar, because June is our Sugar Challenge. We will only drink water or unsweetened tea or coffee. We will have no cookies, cake, pies, candy, icecream, or anything else thats simular. We will instead have fruits, and avoid the juices. This will be very hard but Im looking forward to it, and how much better we will all feel!
