He was showing signs of pre-diabetes, and the doc sent him to a ped. nutritionist. He saw the doc yesterday for a follow-up and he's lost 6 pounds since the late spring! Yay! She was very, very happy with him. He's got a follow-up with the nutritionist soon, so we'll see what she says -- how much more weight she wants him to lose...
We haven't been training recently for the 5k we're running in October (we were on vacation, then he had major asthma & allergy issues for the last few weeks) but hopefully we're going to start up again this week.... And we'll see how it goes with his breathing... But I know this will help the process; he really needs more exercise. He's a dripping ball of sweat the 2 days a week he does tae kwon do, which I'm really happy about, but besides that he's a total couch potato... says the mother spud...
