lol, I know right? Snow storm here on Sunday and Monday of last week, and 5 days later its 80 degrees!

Spiegy...I hate to hear that you are struggling.. What do you do for exercise? I would focus more on weights if you dont already, and I can figure out your exact amount of food and calories you need based on your weight and activity level during the day. It is really about eating small meals every 2-3 hours. This keeps your metabolism up, and wont send you into starvation mode (low metabolism). If you are feeling hungry you need to eat more, that is the key to keeping metabolism up so you can burn fat still. Its not really so much about keeping calories low, but eating the right balance of food that the body needs. I usually eat around 2200 calories a day and still burn fat, but that is really based on a weight lifting life style.. I would help you if you are interested... I am studying to be a Personal trainer and have completed all coursework except essays. I wont lead you astray...

Looking forward to spring here, too! Snowstorm at the beginning of the week, then 60 degrees this weekend -- pure craziness.

How's everyone doing with eating & exercising? I've been keeping it under 1300 this week and exercising more than usual, and every day I stepped on the scale the weight went up and up. Now, some people would say to only weigh once a month, and measure yourself to see if you're losing inches, but I'm in it to LOSE weight and I'm a little frustrated. AAAhhh!

I was eating at the top of my range and not losing, so I switched last week to eating at the low range -- but apparently that does squat, also. I was so crabby at my husband this morning after I got off the scale I actually had to explain it wasn't him, it was me. No, it was the scale. But I will keep eating at the low end for another couple of weeks and see what happens, right? Right!

I am new to the group...but I have noticed that it's a quiet group. I don't post a lot, but I do comment occasionally and certainly read the posts for advice and information.

Try little steps/goals....I have found that works best for me...and I don't get too overwhelmed.

You always have a choice. No food has the power to make you eat it, and no one else determines your values or priorities. Sure, the situation may be difficult; sometimes you may have to choose between less than ideal options, or even pick the lesser of two evils. But the choice is always yours, and the only way to fail in the long run is to fail to choose.

i agree that no one is very active on this team, i am to blame too.

you must be more optimistic about yourself, you keep on SPing, and the pounds may sneak off!

i am at a lull myself, but once i accepted it, i noticed a pound here, 2 there have come off. just trying to keep with it. no big goals, just simple small ones not related to my actual weight!

Keep on keeping on!

I haven't been very active on this team lately, and see a few others have commented on the chat about how quiet the team has been, so I decided to give you all a shout out! Happy Wednesday! How's everyone doing?

My son is STILL doing his tae-kwon-do twice a week and liking it (okay, actually he really loves it and sometimes walks around the house doing random kick moves). It has NOT made a difference in his weight because it's only 2 hours of intense exercise a week -- and he seems to be eating to make up for it. Boy, are we waiting for that puberty growth spurt. On the other hand, he hasn't had an asthma attack all winter and I'm hopeful that the exercise is helping with that.

I've been SPing like crazy, exercising and counting calories. Goal is to lose at least 20 (!!) by June 18th. It doesn't look like it's going to happen, considering I just keep going up and down the same 4 pounds, but again, it can't hurt and I will keep doing what I'm doing. Something's gotta give, right?
