Saw Andrew Airlie again on an old episode of 'Fringe'. He seemed like a concerned father at first, but turned out to be a creepy scientist studying mind control.

I'm semi-watching a really, really bad movie right now on Syfy ('12 disasters of Christmas') and Andrew Airlie (Kalan in 'Learning Curve' and Dr. Carmichael in 'Avatar', both SG-1 episodes) is in it playing a police officer. So far he's survived the hokey disasters plaguing their Idaho town. We'll see if he's still around at the end.

Another sighting tonight on 'Fringe'. Actually, two of them. Gerard Plunkett (fishy guy Nem in 'Fire and Water' and untouched Tuplo in 'Broca Divide' and 'Enigma') and JR Bourne ('Martouf') were both in the 2nd season 'Fringe' episode 'Earthling'. Plunkett played a senator and Bourne a mysterious CIA agent.

I'm catching up on 'Fringe' now that Science Channel is showing it (I only started watching it at the beginning of season 2). Roger Cross (Capt. Connor from 'The First Commandment' and 'Spirits') is one of the shapeshifters on the first episode of season 2 ('Momentum Deferred').

A little catching up from Supernatural eps I've watched this week:
Don S davis was in season 3 Sin City.
Kavan Smith in ep Time is on my Side.

There was another one but I don't remember who it was.
Cheers!

Re-watched 'Thir13en ghosts' a day or so ago. JR Bourne (Martouf!) was the smarmy lawyer. Of course, he got his just desserts (in a really graphic way, yuck!--and I've never even seen the movie 'uncensored' for TV!)

Shane Meier played Lara's teenage son Garan in the SG-1 episode 'A hundred days' (the one with the Fire Rain where O'Neill gets marooned when the Stargate gets buried).

Am kind of watching 'bug movie' day on Syfy. First thing this morning was a movie with Michael Shanks called 'Swarmed' (or 'Swarms'--something like that). It was a really bad movie (sorry, Michael) about lethal yellow jacket/waspy things.

Netflix has Supernatural streamable so I am blowing through them. The show has been highly recommended to me by various friends but season 1 has been only so so. My friends all say it gets better as it lightens up later on so I'll stick with it. One of the things I so loved about Sg1 and SGA was the humor, so I'll stick with Supernatural toget to the seasons where there's more lightheartedness.
Jessica Stein (the original Dr Weir) is in the season 1 ep of Supernatural 'The Benders'. I expect there will be plenty of posts for me as I watch since it's filmed in Vancouver area. I've recognised a few Sg locations so far. Places I visited when I was there last year! Fun.

Oh, and William B Davis, who was an Ori as well as the Cigarette Smoking Man on X-files was in an ep of Supernatural called 'Scarecrow'.
Cheers!

Last night on 'Rizzoli and Isles', David DeLuise played the villian. He was actually a major crazy. I've only seen him play good guys before (he was a suspect in a murder on an episode of 'CSI' once, but he turned out to be good). The character he played last night was scary. He should get an Emmy for it. At least one person on the 'Television without pity' site show forum I visit commented on how creepy he was.

I'll post more detail the next time I watch it, but the two-part miniseries 'The Titanic' (not the recent one, but the one that has Catherine Zeta-Jones in it) has many, many Stargate actors in it (I think I counted at least 12 the last time I watched it).

Whenever I watch credits for some of the movies that Syfy airs and see some Stargate actors, I know that the movie was filmed in Vancouver!

This one is a oldie, but I watched parts of the 'Walking Dead' marathon on AMC this weekend (they showed both 1st & 2nd seasons). Michael Rooker played creepy bigoted Merle Dixon on several episodes. He played Col. Edwards (I think that was his name) on SG1's 'Enemy Mine'. (Daniel tries to mediate between the Unas and the military force on some planet.)

I had to make a comment about Kavan Smith's portrayal of Deputy Andy on 'Eureka'. I remember him as Lorne from SG1 (but don't remember too much about SGA, so I can't comment too much on his Lorne from that series), but I've really admired how he's portrayed Andy on 'Eureka'. (If you don't watch the show, he plays an android who serves as the Deputy of the town. He's endlessly cheerful, even when bad things are happening.) I knew that he was good in that role, but he really proved it recently when he played Andy in a virtual reality episode and he had to play him as really mean and evil. He was excellent (and very scary).

(I try to ignore the creepy subplot where he's carrying on a love affair with S.A.R.A.H., the sherriff's computerized 'smart house'!)

Here's another one, although it's not too recent: Richard Dean Anderson had a role on 'Raising Hope' a few weeks ago, playing an irate and suspicious dad. His daughter in real life (Wylie) played his daughter on the show. I hadn't checked his website recently, so I didn't realize that he was going to be on it until he showed up. What a surprise!

'Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- WOW -- what a ride!

I've been watching Downton Abbey. No SG folks, unfortunately, but David Hewlett tweeted about it a while back, commenting that it showed him that he needed more servants. Just wanted to post to keep it going, no matter how tenuous the relativity.
Cheers,

David DeLuise was on 'Grey's anatomy' last night. He played a patient that had to have a metal plate put into his head. I was surprised that he didn't really have much of a role, though. He was really the 'b' storyline.

Wow, that was him, wasn't it! Ok, another NCIS LA: Connor Trineer (Michael) was a cop. He was at the Denver Starfest convention some years ago. Seemed ok, but A bit prima donna; he had a headache and so wouldn't allow fans to take his picture with a flash.

Christopher Judge was fantastic: very dynamic, partied with fans in the bar, and brought his son up on stage to tell everyone how proud he was the young man was attending the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

Will post info about con here, definitely!

I should be ashamed: I've never been to a SciFi convention (and they have one here on the MS Gulf Coast every March). I have relatives in Atlanta, and one day I'm going to get to DragonCon. Be sure and post your experience when you get back from your con.

This is an 'oldie', but I caught an old episode of the original '90210' yesterday and Keene Curtis ('Ernest' from Torment of Tantalus') played a homeless man who may have in fact been Santa Claus.

I am watching NCIS: LA on dvd. I can tell you the title of the episode with Cliff Simon. He's billed as Cliff Marc Simon, and he wasn't in it much. Chris Judge was in the ep he was in even less: one line, 2 minutes! I got to meet each of those two at conventions; both are very sweet. Jewel Stait will be at the con in 2 weeks, and I'm excited! David Hewlett says she's a firecracker.

I don't watch NCIS-LA, but I would have watched it if I knew that Cliff Simon was going to be on. I wonder if he always plays a bad guy on whatever he's on!

I try to make the rounds of the SparkTeams I'm on, but since I'm on about 7 (and co-leader of one--'Mississippi Sparkers'), I find myself skipping some teams once in a while. I'll try to keep posting!

I haven't watched any 'SG-1' episodes lately, even though I have all 10 seasons (as well as both SG-1 movies, the re-release of 'Children of the Gods', the pilot of 'SG-Atlantis', and the original Kurt Russell movie) on DVD. I'll try to start watching them again. I bought an exercise bike recently, and watching an episode while I pedal would be good.

Cliff Simon is on an ep of NCIS: LA, he's a terrorist. Right now I'm really not watching anything else. I can be a wee bit obsessive, and right now, this is it. Glad there's some SG people on it so I can stay with this thread! Lol

Another SG-1 person popped up on 'The Mentalist'. (I do watch other shows, I swear!) David DeLuise ('Pete Shanahan') played a guidance counselor on last night's episode. According to imdb.com, he's also going to be in an upcoming episode (May 3, I think) of 'Grey's Anatomy'.

(I remember that 'Fringe' episode...I was ticked that they killed off 'Shepard'!)

Good idea for a topic! Joe Flanigan was in an episode of Fringe. I got excited, then they killed him off. Ah well. And I'm watching an episode of NCIS LA with Chris Judge.

Those are the two I have seen recently. I'll post more when I run across them.

I'm starting this thread, because I saw two 'Stargate SG1' actors in a non-Stargate-related TV show last night, so I thought that it would be fun if people come post their 'Stargate people sightings'.

Jay Acovone ('Kawalsky') and Chris Judge ('Teal'c') were on 'The Mentalist' last night. Jay played the owner of a casino and Chris played the head of casino security. I didn't even recognize Chris Judge at first--I just thought he looked familiar. Then I saw his name on the guest star credits and said 'hey! It's Teal'c!'
