Thanks for the reminder. I had a great Saturday and then a Sunday full of procrastination so it was nice to come across this topic.

Yes, getting things done today is important. But, I think I can fill up my day -- and every day -- with things that are necessary but not moving me in the directions of my goals. SO a minute to focus and feel what's the best action today to move me in those directions is vital.

"Each today, well-lived, makes yesterday a dream of happiness and each tomorrow a vision of hope. Look, therefore, to this one day, for it and it alone is life."

I'm terrible for saying "i'll do it tomorrow, my partner calls me "karen i'll do it tomorrow" as a nick name. I tend to say it when i really dont want to do something, and when tomorrow comes i dont do what i said i would do, and it really annoys my partner cos he is so organized. I tend to live for today and buggar tomorrow, i suppose its hard to break a habit.....i always find something i'd rather be doing...

Make a Difference
Do what you can, but never forget that letting go is very different from giving up. Of all the things you can make in life, remember you make all the difference in your life.

Even though I have pretty good time management skills....I admit to weakness when it comes to "talking myself out" of those things I need for my health such as exercise or getting back on the wagon so to speak....I often fall into the new hope snag of there is always tomorrow. LOL
When I tell myself its never too late, I add in..I may be running late, but right now is never too late, but tommorrow 'might' be. hehehehe OK ok I konw its just a joke and I dont believe it, but it helps me none the less.

This is so applicable to me right now! I am having a "I'll start eating healthy again tomorrow" moment because I am tired and want a little escape. So I am not going to put it off till tomorrow! I am going to go home, cook a wonderful dinner and prepare for tomorrow!

Thanks for this post!

Realize That "I'll Do It Tomorrow" Is Not Good Enough
by Gary Vurnum

================

Welcome to your future.

By the time you have finished reading this sentence you will have lost time that you will never be able to get back.

Sorry!

As each second of the clock ticks by - you are living in what you would have called the future just a few seconds ago.

That's why you should never put off doing what you can do right now until 'tomorrow'. Tomorrow you'll have plenty of other things to deal with and today's tasks will be much less important.

Action Point:

What are you putting off until 'tomorrow' that you should be doing today?

Answer your emails. Tidy the house. Write those 1000 words of your novel.

Do as much as you can today…and there will be more room for what you can achieve tomorrow.

Just think how much this 'extra' time will build up day after day if you stop putting things off to one side to do another day.

===================

You cannot get what you’ve never had unless you’re willing to do what you’ve never done.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
