Faith means relying on God for everything. Faith means letting him take control of your life, even if you don't want to go there. You have faith when you keep believing something you prayed for will happen until it happens. Faith is believing in something when there is nothing.

Yeah I am glad he flew the coop too. He looked so cute sitting in the African Tulip tree gently closing his eyes to the branch swaying in the breeze. I wish I could have left him there if only he had a little cockatiel mate to share his life with in the wilderness. I leave him outside during the day so he can chat to his friends I now think I will train him to fly into the bushes then return to his cage. I hope it is possible. A little dangerous as we do have hawks and kookaburra's as well as butcher birds and King Parrots. King parrots are an enemy of the cockatiel. If I leave him outside and one of them are present you should see him react. Some instincts are inherent. I wish people wouldn't breed birds in captivity it doesn't seem right. It was so beautiful seeing him enjoy himself. I had a little budgie called Paully given to me by the same lady. He was let out accidentally While cleaning his cage, same scenario Storm really wild one and all, he was gone for 3 whole days he flew back to his cage hopped inside and the next day he died it was all to much for him. I love remembering him for his bravery. The adventure he must have had. If only he could have spoken to tell his little tale before he left this world. That's how I know that these little birds born into a captive world do not survive unless they somehow find an adoptive flock to be with. No such luck for Paully. Glad you enjoyed the story. To our little feathered hero's.

You haven't missed much. Bill Maher is a cynical comedian who has his own show. I have only caught bits of him, but it was more than enough.

We have a giant flock of wild Mexican parrots in our neighborhood. There are lots of mature trees that they can nest in. They fly around and squawk loudly. I'm glad that our trees are not large enough to attract them, but we have some fruit trees that they get to. They are really loud. We also have falcons, hawks, blue jays, mocking birds, humming birds, sparrows, doves, and crows. It is nice to sit outside and hear their songs. The parrots aren't great to listen to, but they are fun to look at with their long tails and relatively short wings.

I enjoyed your story of your bird who flew the coop.

I haven't come across Bill Maher and what he preaches. Lucky me by the sounds of it. I love your descriptions Chanetc. I think I have met people climing out of primordial slime. What a fantastic way of seeing it. I am not sure what stage I am at at present. All I know is I am climbing. I won't give up till I reach that beautiful view with the right aquipment of course. Don't want to slip. It great to take rests on the way up can't be to hard on ourselves. I tell you what the further you climb some of the challenges get a little tougher. Don't worry I won't give up. I'll just be happy. Have a fantastic day. I might go smell some flowers this afternoon. I came across two turkeys nesting in my yard. Two little doves walking by my kitchen window isn't spring grand. Someone let my bird out of his cage yesterday. I don't like birds in cages either, he was given to me as his owner who became unwell and couldn't care for him so I am his carer now. He was born in captivity. Yesterday he had the whole day out flying around my yard unfortunately a storm was due in the afternoon so I was really concerned. He talks, my bird he say's Hello bobby and whistles some little tune. I could hear him whistling away in the bushes but I couldn't see him. I called him but to no avail. Finally I remembered the bird is infatuated with my dog so I thought. I will get the dog and lure him back, it worked to a degree but as birds that aren't wild they have no idea of distance when they fly as they have been caged all their days. Really Sad he flew towards me but didn't have any idea of how to stop short of the house so he flew in a circle to miss the house and came back towards me in a bigger circle then out of sight he went. I was distraught as there are nasty other birds in the neighbourhood like the rat eating black bird and the dive bombing minor birds that swoop any other bird that is in its path. I tried to calm myself and think Bobby is free now to roam the sky's and rest in any beautiful trees. And live excuse the pun as free as a bird. But the dangers that lurked seemed to over shadow my thoughts on his freedom like the snakes and cats in the bush how was this little guy going to fend for himself out their on his own, what if the storm comes and he gets caught in a wind that takes him to who knows where. Well it was all to late I just thought don't worry Steph just be happy. Everything will be ok. At 5pm my husband said to me Steph I will call Bobby one last time and guess what he answered he was in the tree's at the back of our house. I opened the door of his cage. My husband had a long branch and Bobby walked onto it right down to his shoulder and I put out my hand he jumped on and I put him back in his cage. He was happy. So to all you people who despise birds in cages please don't let them out as it causes their owners a great deal of concern. Please remember that birds born in captivity may only be survivors for a little while and the owner that takes them on realizes this that why we look after them. Not all people who have birds in cages like them to be there. I do let my bird out of his cage. He is one lucky bird. I have dedicated my life to him to take care of him for as long as I can, birds live a long time. They like their owners. Well the ones that are nice to them. I don't know why I am writing this I guess it has a message. Maybe its -: things appear cruel, if you look deeper You have to appear cruel to be kind. People may think I am cruel as I havea bird in a cage but in true fact he wouldn't survive out in the wild world so I am actually being kind by having him there. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Bill Maher means to offend with everything he says about religion, faith, God, belief. He has just released a film that is designed to offend all faiths, so he is fair game. I was only referring to Bill Maher, when I said that God uses evil or evil intent to accomplish good. Bill Maher thinks of himself as an intellectual--that is his only tool. He has no spiritual awareness or he wouldn't be doing his whole anti-God religion crusade. There is much to find fault with many religions as they are represented by some of their adherents. This does not condemn the religion, it simply is a fact of human nature. We are all evolving spiritually and some of us are at a lower level than others and some are barely climbing out of the primordial slime. emoticon

Hi Chanect,
I will have to read yours over a few times. It is very meaning full. I am not sure if I am getting it fully so I will take the time to reread a couple of times. Was the comment only in relation to the guy who wrote the comment about faith or did it have something to do with my reply. My son could be evil right, I am not judging though. now laugh. My faith is he is not. Laugh. I am really hoping the best for him in the present. Which is now, the past, if I look back is a little grim. I think I have to have faith to do that, as well as be in the present with my advice to him and hope that all will make to a happier present. Cheers. Thanks for the imput. I know it all sounds a bit luny but hey, why worry Just be happy.

There is much to be gained by acceptance and allot to be lost when over analyzing and judging. Provocative comments meant to stir argument and debate, the resultant conversation motivates toward- and reinforces- growth every time.
I choose to agree in Gods recycling but not in judging and labeling anybody who brings attention to FAITH.
It is up to the individual to take offence, especially when none is given. God gave us free will but we cant truly grow till we exercise taking our own responsibility for it.

Fear is often brought about by too much thought, worrying over all possible outcomes, and giving power to those outcomes we want least of all. In this respect, not thinking IS a real virtue, and the practice of faith.

I choose faith.
God knows I have too many issues with fear. :-)

God uses evil to accomplish good. While Bill Maher does not think of himself as evil and thinks that he is doing a much needed public service, he is simply spiritually immature. He places too much value on his intellect, which can only deal with information from the past. It is never in the present, because when we are thinking, we are not observing or actually living in the present, but stuck in the past. He is never actually here. When we overvalue a tool, it is like Abraham Maslow once said, to the man who only has a hammer, every problem is a nail. So this immature performer makes a provocative comment meant to stir controversy, which is the coin of his realm, and the resultant conversation reinforces faith--not his intention, but a good bit of recycling by God and his helpers.

So true they both are out there. I am experiencing them right now and guys thank you so much for this right now. I have a son who gets himself into all sorts of situations I was upset yesterday as I felt low about an incident that happened for him. Thank you for giving me the thought of staying positive and have faith that things are moving in a positive directions and it happened for him this way so he can move to better things. This post came at the right time for me. I am choosing faith.

Faith and fear are opposite sides of the same coin. Both have to do with believing in an outcome that has not yet happened. Once can choose faith or fear, but one can only believe in one version of a particular outcome at a time. Acting as if what you wish to happen will happen great improves the chance of it happening; likewise, acting if what you fear will happen will greatly improve the likelihood of that happening too. One can choose faith or fear; both are true. emoticon

I cant really do any better than Bill Mauh, sometimes ya just cant question why why why, but rather say Why Not and go for it, just do it, dont think...just take a chance and TRY.
Its not if you win or loose but how you play the game. No sense in thinking, worrying, stressing out, you got to have faith.
