The Concept2 Rowing machine has a monitor that records your time to the 10th of a second. It also records meters rowed, calories, etc, but for our purposes you only need the time and meters rowed. Write down this information and go to Concept2.com to Register. Once you have registered, you can Login and enter your meters for the day. When you are registering you are asked to complete your profile. At the bottom of the page it will ask you to join a team. We are a Virtual Club and you can scroll down until SparkPeople Indoor Rowers appears. Once you are registered, all of your meters rowed will accrue on your personal totals and add to the team totals. In order to participate in this Fall Rowing Competition, you need to go to Teams on the top of the page and register for an Open team and scroll down the box to SparkPeople Indoor Rowers and join. This is not a well set up as it should be. It is alphabetical, but arranged by clubs, schools, etc. We are a Virtual Club so you have to keep scrolling down until SparkPeople Indoor Rowers appears. If you have any problem with this step, I can help you by using your email and your Concept2 registering number. Good luck and thank you!

Anita,
For the next 28 days, my daily routine will include the target of rowing 10,000 meters for the Fall Rowing Challenge. I've created a team on Concept2.com called SparkPeople Indoor Rowers and four people have joined so far. We are in second place for teams our size and can easily move into first place. If you would like to try out rowing at your club, the next 28 days would be a great time to start and help Spread the Spark.

Plan Your Day
by Gary Vurnum

==================

You would never attempt to drive somewhere without having an idea of how to get there - so why should it be any different to plan where your life is moving to each day?

You don't have to plan your time to the nearest hour - but if you set yourself hourly, or morning and afternoon, or daily, targets then at least you can look back at the end
of each day knowing that you have at least achieved SOMETHING.

I have a target of writing 1,000 words EVERY DAY. I know that by doing this I will complete the equivalent of a book every 90 days. I also know that, in order for me to be as
successful as I want to be, I need to keep producing more'products'.

How do I stick to this?

Well, I give myself one day's grace a week where I let myself have a break…but I have to make it up the next day.
And…I don't go to sleep until I've written my 1,000 words for the day. It's as simple as that.

Action Point:

What demanding, yet achievable, task can you set for yourself every day?

It's amazing how powerful habits can be (just ask a smoker).

Once you get out of a routine…it is so difficult to get back into! So…begin by aiming to achieve something(anything!)every day, and just take it from there.
