The story sounds a little like my life I had a boss like that. Unfortunately I have people around now that are not so positive and it is a challange. I am happy for the boss I had as I have never forgotten his council. Being around positive people and positive attitudes is a very wise thing to do. What if the negative is in your own family. What I do is stay as positive as I can as now I am in my bosses position. Thanks to all the positive people out there. What you recieve you can also give.

A very wise principal at one of my children's schools practiced something called "Catch them being good"... He taught it to the teachers, who instead of zeroing in on the trouble makers.... and what they were doing wrong, or negatively.... he wanted to catch them being good.

Find something to praise, and they other kids would, try to do things to be praised for as well.

Needless to say, this approach was highly successful and helped change many of the class situations around for teachers, students and some very happy parents.

Focusing on the positive good things, multiplies many times over.

It's such a simple thing to do, and yet very few people do it!

Maybe this can inspire us to do it more often.

How a failure became very successful...
by Arina Nikitina

There once was a man who was a failure in everything he did.

He managed to get a decent job though, but his co-workers continued to belittle and mock him because he can't seem to get anything right.

On the contrary, his boss was a persuasion expert. Instead of scolding the man, his boss motivated him and made him a much better person.

Whenever the man made a mistake, his boss would say, "It's ok. We all make mistakes all the time. I know you will learn from this experience and you'll do much better next time." This act boosted the man's ego.

Whenever the man did something right, even if it's the littlest thing, his boss would praise him and say, "You're very much improved. Good job!"

His boss would sometimes even assign him good qualities that he may not even possess yet.

Because the boss expected the man to be capable of doing great things, and by assigning him qualities that he may not even possess at that moment, the man became highly successful.

The reason?

If you expect and assign good qualities to someone, that person will exert voluntary effort to live up to your
expectations.

Persuasion is an extremely POWERFUL tool.

You cannot get what you’ve never had unless you’re willing to do what you’ve never done.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
