Forget your troubles..come on get happy!
I'll Die with a TO DO list
by Karl Moore
Now, I must make a confession.
I am something of a TO DO list nut.
I make at least one TO DO list each day, to help organize and prioritize the work I do.
As I prepared mine this morning, I was reminded of one important life lesson I uncovered some five years ago.
I was putting off my happiness each year, promising it to myself the next.
"Oh, I'll just work a little harder for the next twelve months. Because then I will have finished project A, B and C. And THEN I can be happy!"
Until one year, I realized... I was repeating myself. It was always going to be great... NEXT YEAR.
It's like the sign in the pub that says "Free drinks tomorrow."
And, of course, tomorrow never comes.
This taught me an important lesson in life.
Happiness should NEVER wait for a completed TO DO list.
Happiness should always be NOW!
When you DIE, you will leave a TO DO list behind.
You'll still have jobs and projects you've yet to complete. Accept it. It's life. Everything changes, everything moves... nothing stays the same.
And within that fact, we find the beauty of our world.
Louis L'Amour said: "There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning."
You will NEVER finish your TO DO list.
So why not begin living... starting TODAY? ;)
You cannot get what you’ve never had unless you’re willing to do what you’ve never done.
Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin. www.youneedanita.blogspot.com/
