Melissa, my A1C was 6.2 recently. My internist was very happy and told me to "carb up" some more. Now I am in the battle of keeping my hand out of the cookie jar. Congrats on your success though. You shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Keep up the good efforts.

My A1c has been down around 6.0 to 6.3 and my doctor actually said that was too low for a Type 1 diabetic. Go figure.

The only thing I would want is to have my blood sugars back on schedule. I have finally been able to complete the move and turn in the keys to my former landlord. I just got over the flu that I had all last week, so I am ready to deal with Christmas. I have purchased a turkey for Christmas dinner and will have a very low key meal. With all of the activity and unscheduled things going on with the move, my blood sugars have been erratic. I am going to make it a point to be more disciplined in my meal planning to keep my blood sugars back in line. My A1c was 7.0 in the beginning of December, but would like to bring it down to at least 6.5.

What is your Christmas wish this year?

My wish is a speedy recovery for my Dad from his stroke. My wish is for him to be able to live on his own once again.
