Depends on what the date is...... a dinner, a movie, a dance.

I agree with the negative attitude, and I also would not go out with someone who tried to take liberties on the first date (or any date for that matter!)

Another thing that would have me running from any further contact is someone who did not respect my beliefs and wishes and tried to belittle them...... That would also not bode well for any future interaction.....

jA negative attitude or someone who is always complaining about something or someone throughout the evening or whenever I am with them, is not going to promote another meeting with them.

In your opinion, what's the worst thing someone can do on a first date?

Well, we got to talking about this before class started today and this student said she went out with a man who picked his plate up and licked it! In a restaurant! That is a deal breaker for me too. But, I think the worst thing in any situation is a bad attitude; a negative attitude about life and treating the wait staff or others with disrespect is the worst thing someone could do when I am with them. I will not go with them again if they are extremely negative or treat others in a nasty manner.
