I know we get enough salt in our foods, but I do want the actual taste of salt occasionally. I like it on popcorn or I may eat a few of those skinny pretzel sticks.

I'll have to try the lime on eggs and beans. Sounds like it may be good!

AWLLS60-- just noticed your ticker! Way to lose!! Congrats!

We get about 13 percent of our salt naturally from foods we eat. All the rest is what we cook with and sprinkle on what we eat....

I know I don't NEED salt, but I CRAVE it sometimes so bad I can't stand it.

When it just gets to be too much, I might make a bowl of popcorn and put some salt on it to get my fix.... Then I'm ok for a few days.... lol

I don't usually need salt except on my eggs and beans. One of Dr. Oz's guests last week suggested trying lime juice to use in place of salt. It does work in my beans. Haven't tried it on my eggs yet.

I heard a speaker tell us one time recently that everything we eat already has enough salt in it, we do not need anymore.

M biggest craving is salt. Year round. Sometimes I might crave some chocolate or something, but that comes and goes. The salt craving is almost always there.

I remember one time years ago, I ate 3 large bags of potatoe chips throught that day. I kept putting the bag aside and try to do something else, but for some reason that day was awful.

I still crave salt but not as intensely as I used to ........

My cravings, fi I have any, don't seem to crrespond with the weather. I think they are more to the time of the day. My fruits have been eliminated except for berries and I would like more of the sweeter fruits like a peach, chich I did have Friday. But my sugar was up a bit so can't have that for awhile again.

I'm going to try and keep up with this thread better! I've been sick for 2 months now and only get better to relapse again.

Do you find that your cravings change with the weather?

I do. When it is cold I want soups, chilis and stews. When it is warm, I crave more fruits and raw veggies, especially tomatoes. In fall I seem to gravitate to pultry, especially turkey.
