Lovely weekend celebrating my Grandson's first birthday. A wee bit too much chocolate cake but I'll get back on track tomorrow.

Blood pressure up today at my regular GP visit :(

As I'm trying to stay off meds as long as I can, I've promised him I'll tighten up as much as I can on salt intake (NOTE: This is 'Twiglet' lady talking here!).

I turned to the twigs when the hospital warned me off anything sugary and I needed more to nibble than fruit. However, now I have a salt/sodium limit, it is cheerio to mini-cheddars too.

This week is going to take some determination but I'll start reading labels again and clearing temptation from the cupboards...........

Learned something about the amount of twiglets someone can eat and mistakenly think they won't make much difference to the next day's weigh-in. A big bag - even broken into 'just a few' portions - is still a big bag.

Thanks, Jude. All the better for having survived 10 days in the States without gaining anything. The portions, even of salads, were humongous and cheese crumbled onto everything.

We did a 'reverse' history trail ie tracked relatives who emigrated to the mid-West in the mid 1800s from the depths of rural Lincolnshire. Actually found some lovely people still carrying the name and still farming (big-scale). Fascinating and some wonderful historical archives.

Now back to work next week :(

Hi there,
Where does the time go?! I have been concentrating on doing the 5% challenges on the Clover team but not really dropped many pounds. I have recently got a new job - and been training over the last month as a disability assessor for the Personal independent payment. Start for real this week. We decided not to sell the house and stay in Derby whilst Matt continues to commute.
I still have my hypnotherapy/coaching business although focussing on the new job at the moment.
Just started the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and plan to get some good results with it too like I did the last time I used it!

On the chocolate front - I have agreed with people that we are not exchanging eggs this year and Andrew and I are going to share one so that we don't feel we've missed out. Hopefully, that will keep it under control.

Sounds like some great weight loss going on. I'm enjoying Sparkcoach at the moment with its daily challenges which are fun.
Looking after my daughter's miniature pincher for a few weeks. Apparently the dog has to go on a diet but she has probably come to the wrong place for that! Just got to keep her away from the goats as she trys to headbutt them. Silly creature.

Hi there, I wouldn't do the starvation thing, that's my biggest problem, too busy in the day to eatat meal times and lack of food is causing my metabo.is to SLOW down, since eating better and more frequently iI've lost 3lbs in two weeks, so stay on track with a good food plan and you'll get there.
As for your 1lb loss that's fabulous, you should be delighted emoticon

Jude..... well done on your weight loss, cracking start to losing those gained lbs!

Have joined weight watchers recently and being accountable at a local meeting is really helping me to stay focussed.

I'm back!
Wow how quickly does 3 weeks go?
Weighed myself yesterday morning & unfortunately I've put on 10lbs! I knew I would have put a load back on because although we didn't go mad & eat loads of rubbish & we did try to eat healthily most of the time we were of course tempted by the varieties of ice cream available. We also ate snack crisps (chips in USA) most days which didn't help. Anyway back to normal eating now & when I weighed in this morning I've already lost 1.4lb! Yeah.

Keep pushing everyone & hope to catch up with you all soon.

Hey guys, America calling. Our 1st week is over & Vegas, San Francisco & LA have been done. Unfortunately we chose the week that calif ornaments had major storm Titan blowing through. Now in a Villa in Florida for our last 2 weeks. Weather is gorgeous and the pool is very welcome. Keep up the good work with the weight loss. Think I might need to start again when I get home.

Well week three and yet again only 1 pound lost but at least it's going the right way, still going to give it another week so I can see the effect of a complete month but I'm then going to have a look at the daily analysis and see if can can tweek it a bit and see if we can get a better loss - hope you're all doing well xxxxxxx

Mines bouncing around at the moment. A few pounds up then back down then back up. One of life's little mysteries!

Great to see people chatting again,we can all support each other.

Hey Jayne, at least it was a 1lb loss well done you! I was stuck for about 2 months after losing 36lbs neither gaining or losing, then Christmas happened & I had a small gain of 4lbs. Luckily this gave me a kick start I needed & today I can confirm that I'm now down 40lbs!!! Only another 2lbs & I'll have lost 3 stones which means only 5 more stones to lose before I can get my knees replaced.

Keep going everyone, together we can do it!

Hi Folks bit disheartened today I've been so good al week and only lost 1 pound - never mind hey I can't give up just 2 weeks n so I'll give it another two weeks then go through and analyse my nutrient plan to see if there is anything I can change to alter the progress - if anything I'm not having enough calories but too many carbs we shall see xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hiya everyone,

Karen, Pete & I are having a 3 week holiday to celebrate his 50th two weeks ago & my 60th at the end of March. We fly out to Vegas for 3 nights then drive up the West Coast to San Francisco then back down to LA (that's all the first week) We then fly over to Orlando for 2 weeks in a Villa.

Can't wait.

Mandy, we're only taking 1 suitcase as we aim to get loads whilst we're over there.

Not long now til your fab holiday Jude, those suitcases must be almost walking out the door by themselves by now!
Its 4am and been up half hour, can't sleep, so thought to catch up with sp in these quiet moments!

Hiya Folks and do you remember me Jude - back again after a few very traumatic years, we lost my Dad in July after 10 years of caring for him post stroke in 2003 and prior to his death in July we had 9 months of what I can only describe as hell and what do I do when stressed I eat so here I am again, I'm still caring my Mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia a few years ago now but at least the caring isn't quite so hands on as it was with Dad at least she can walk. I am just determined to get this excess weight off and have started slowly 3 pounds off since I started on Monday 13th Jan and again this week I have stuck to my plan very well started walking the Dog more to get the exercise in and hopefully by my target date I will have reached my goal - I know sparky works cos' I come back every time I gain and as long as I stick to it it works and guess what when I don't it doesn't - lovely to be back folks xxxxxx
