I thank those who spark mailed me; I also quilt for the children's hospital and for the veterans, but I will make time to zip up a few stocking if and when Lisa lets me know the size. Stockings really don't take much time to make and it is such a worth while cause; cost less to mail then quilts that is for sure. These would not be quilted, just your average stocking with a cuff perhaps.

when i have time I make baby blankets and donate to the hosptial they give them out to the people they know need it the most such as women who are all alone , babies that are born early . I wish i could do more I know at my ob doctor office after i had my daughter this year they gave me a crochet pink hat and said one of there elderly pts make the hats for all the new babies. I keep it and thought how special that was . It is a nice feeling to get something homemade because you know it took time to make it not just buy it.

It's wonderful when young people get involved in the needs of others less fortunate than themselves! A friend and I have been making I SPY quilts for the cancer kids for a few years now.

While we have never met any....the nurses assure us, we ARE making a difference in their lives!

A lovely gesture. I make quilts for kids with cancer, and am very familiar with the cost of the mailings. Just last week I gave out 25 new quilts while I visited Massachusetts. It really takes all of us getting involved to help these kids! Good luck with the boxes and stockings! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hello fellow quilters!
Boxes of LOVE is run by a very lovely young lady. She has asked for donations to fill boxes for kids with cancer. The pictures of the kids when they open their boxes is priceless. NOW, Lisa would like to have Christmas stockings to fill for the kids, I don't know the size just yet, but am emailing her to find out. I thought, PERHAPS, a few of you would like to donate to this worthy cause with a few simple Christmas Stockings for these very sick kids.

If you are interested please spark mail me with your personal email so it will make it easier to get the information out to all at one time.

I have been gathering items for Lisa for about a month now and will be sending it out next week. She also can use Gift cards from Visa and Master Card to use for the postage. It cost about $8 to $12 to mail a box.

Follow Boxes of Love on Facebook.

Thanks,
Pam V
