My parents have been using the same Cuisinart for almost twenty years and the cover finally broke. They bought another identical one so the parts interchange. I haven't personally needed a food processor yet. The ninja system cooks good, but when I was at the kitchen store I saw a Cuisinart blender that had a small food processor to put on top of it. good luck

My Ninja takes the place of a blender and food processor. I got it for Christmas last year and hung unto the blender and food processor for about 6 months and then realized the Ninja was all I needed. I have never regretted getting rid of the other 2 and I have lots more room in the cupboard.

Question-I'm thinking about buying a regular food processor, the one I have is 30 years old (a wedding present) does anyone have any favorite brands? What features do you use the most?

I have a small Black & Decker "Handy Shortcut" food processor (2-3 cups?), a Hamilton Beach 2-cup blender (PERFECT for smoothies!!) and I use a Hamilton Beach Inversion Blender for 'hot' items.

I too use a Ninja and I love it. It is not the top of the line but it came with the regular 3 or 4 cup container and 2 smoothie size containers with their own blade and tops so that you can take it with you. So it is great for large and small jobs.

I use a Ninja since I cook for 2-3 people; it is the right size for what I need usually~

I use a Cuisinart -- am not sure of the total capacity -- but it is sturdy and great for grating carrots, veg, soups - constantly in use.

I received an older model of a Cuisinart Pro Plus LPP food processor for free. It holds 3 cups and it's worked great for me so far. The capacity is good for 2 people, so if you're looking to get more out of it or feed more people, I would look closer than at 5-7 cup models than smaller ones. Not sure what other brands out there are good right now. Hope this helps some!

I am looking for a small food processor, no more than 5 - 7 cups. Does anyone have any favourites that they would be willing to share?
