Here's the first paragraph:
There are a bunch of factors that go into choosing the right running shoe, including what kind of surface you run on and if you have a high or flat arch. This infographic from REI summarizes all the basics of running shoes, including tips for when to replace them and how to lace them.
The rest of the article talks about pronating, arch height, etc. What's interesting is that REI has created some graphics that explain in user friendly language how to best select your shoes. In the article, the pix are small and impossible to read. But at the bottom of the page is a link to a full size+ version of the signs (they look like signs that might hang on a store's wall.
