this might sound crazy , but find foods that work with your chemistry. i created this meal on my own. i can't seem to loose weight if i eat any grain products. so one day i experimented.
i make this mixture for breakfast , lunch and dinner. i have lost 7 pounds in a week. i cook
4 large portabella mushrooms sliced, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, 2 large onions sliced, 2 large green peppers, 2 cans green beans and 5 sliced chicken sausages.
it makes enough for at least 3 days, three meals a day. total cost is 9 dollars. sounds crazy but it taste good and most importantly it's working. i'm not hungry . if i feel the urge to cheat i go get a fork full of my mixture. i chew very slowly as to enjoy my meal. good luck

I'm also a picky eater (there is also a picky eaters team). I have found it's not so much the food but the portions. Eat what you like or you'll be miserable. So, if it's green beans and broccoli, then eat green beans and broccoli. I have a few things that I like and use as a go to.
I like potatoes and chicken sausage (apple chicken sausage) and cook the taters then add the sausage at the end. You could easily add a veggie. I found a recipe for cooking fish that is pretty basic - a friend cooks in the oven after basting with a vinaigrette ( believe she wraps it in foil).
I'll second the crock pot. I cook potatoes and carrots and then add what meat I want to, depending on my mood, or beans.
It really depends on what you and the kiddo like. But, I have almost reached goal basically eating what I like and just using portion control -- an green beans and broccoli aren't really on my like list.

Do you have a slow cooker? My favorite easy recipe I got on Sparks. Slow cooker, skinless chicken breasts, salsa. You can even add rice with the extra water or broth for that & veggies and have it all in the one pot. Quite tasty & so easy! I usually fix my brown rice on the side & a veggie on the side but it isn't necessary if you want real easy. Rhonda

not really an restrictions. Just dont eat alot of veggies. I dont eat alot of fish because i dont know any good easy recipes. I dont have a regullar oven just a toaster oven, and i hope to get me a grill soon. I usually only eat grren beans and broccoli and I really like frozen steamed veggies but im mainly looking for some main dish ideas.
Im a a very picky eater so it makes dieting very hard. I started out really good dieting at the rfirst of the year but not doing so good now. I need some ideas of things for a picky eater. I also have a 7 year old that is even picker. Can yall help me out with some good easy recipes. I am a busy mom.
