Being the 2 of us we go out to Chinese. I use to make a lamb shank and potaoes and salad. I just found out I am the only one who likes lamb...wondered why I had leftovers..So no lamb and eating Chinese. But I have a shank in if maybe the weather is bad.
This year it will be just the 3 of us (FiancÚ, daughter and myself) so we decided on BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and homemade rolls on Christmas Eve and pot roast with homemade egg noodles and rolls for Christmas dinner ... Christmas morning will be a French Toast and cream cheese strata! Yum!!

Coming from Italian background, we have a big feast on Xmas eve, Fish , 7 different fish dishes. Very light continental breakfast. Standing beef rib roast for afternoon. Supper , sandwiches and any left overs .

How fun to see the variety of dinners. We'll be having friend oysters (my Mom makes the best!), french fries (home made), tarter sauce (also home made) and probably pumpkin pie for dessert (a hold over from when we did a traditional turkey dinner, but I still enjoy as it's basically once a year). This is one of my all time favorite meals and I now just get it once a year a Christmas.

Going to my daughter-in-law's & son's for dinner. It'll be Polish food -- ham, kielbasa, pierogies, rye bread, cukes in sour cream. I'll be bringing "kapusta" which is sauerkraut with bacon, onions, ad caraway seeds.

I'm making roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, colcannon (mashed potatoes and sauteed kale) and hot rolls (I'm going to cheat a bit and use brown-and-serve rolls). This will all be washed down with a nice California shiraz. No dessert -- my two "guests" are my ex and my son. Ex is diabetic and my son is on a feeding tube due to his disability.
