I am looking forward to making this cook book a part of my everyday life.~~~ My youngest "child" has 4 boys of his own from 4-13!!! Yeah, I need help on the way to cook for 1 or 2.

Good to know I'm not alone in this battle. I spotted a discussion on cookbooks for 2 and I'm going to go there and see what everyone has found. Maybe that's a way to re-train. I too am an emotional eater, portion distorter, etc. I always got a kick out of these packages that say "serves 6." In our family that meant 2! emoticon Well, thanks for the feedback and good luck to us all! emoticon

Be a realistic optimist. Your attitude toward the future will help create your future. So, think realistically about yourself and your situation while making a conscious effort to focus on hopes, not fears. When you do, you'll put the self-fulfilling prophecy to work for you.

I've got it every which way you can -- emotional eating, portion distortion AND cooking too much!

My big problem is that the recipes in most of my favorite cookbooks (mostly Weight Watchers and Cooking Light) are for four to eight. Not everything divides easily, and not everything freezes well. I'm still trying to figure it out, but I'm SERIOUSLY grateful this team exists!

OMG I know the feeling I have spent 6 yrs learning this. I too am an overeater just because it is there and good has nothing to do with emotion.
Best to oyou your journey.

Hi, I just joined the team and am really excited about being part of the group. Been with Spark for some time now but never knew about this team. It is just me and MDH now but I still have a tendency to cook like I still have all my children at home! Can't seem to get the hang of cooking for 2 - even after the last one left the nest 2 years ago emoticon The problem is that when there is so much food waiting to be had, I tend to overeat - like taking seconds. I'm getting better at cooking smaller amounts but wondered if anyone else had this problem and what you did to overcome it. emoticon
