I am new also. I join last week and my computer went down. So I am using my work one until I get mine back. I too have lots to lose and will get there a day at a time. I am putting some hopefully healthy plans or goals in place to help me achieve some improvement in my life. As I get more inline with my plan I will share with everyone more of my story. Just wanted to say hello and we can be new together.
To Raider 5060...I am a bypass avoider. My mother (bless her little old heart!) has been pressing me to undergo bypass. I also have 250 lbs to shed and am hoping this site will work so I can tell her once and for all NO BYPASS! I have been tracking my food and am three weeks in and have lost 15 pounds. I realize it is a drop in the bucket - but you've got to start somewhere - Here's to all of us!
Wish you all the best and sure with all the support from family and friends, you will make it. I have found that logging everything I eat has been an eye opener as I was eating more than I realised with the little things that you don't count. Good luck
Hello all, I am new, first night scared about this whole type of process. I am a bypass failure, I have about 250 pounds to lose. The whole surgery and complications have been very traumatic to go through and then to not succeed, whoa !! I need support, I have an amazing family, but it is a different kind of support that I need. I am hoping to find that here, and be able to do the same for others

Good Luck with your journey. I joined spark 10 days ago and find it very helpful. It helps keep you on track and when you start adding your food in here it makes you really think before you put it in your mouth. I love this website

Of course you are worth it!!! You have as much right as anyone else to be proud of yourself. The people on this site will encourage you and there are a lot of tips to keep you motivated.But most of all do it for yourself and keep reminding yourself that you ARE worth caring about. Jan xx
