I just get these at my local grocery store, in the refrigerated section (health food section ~ organics and such). They are only 40 calories per serving ~ I would agree they are not the same as pasta. Very few things have been the same since being GF from breads ... etc. but if you follow the directions (really rinse after cooking) I find it it is a quick easy low cal fix for wanting pasta, or even noodles in a soup. Plus I like tofu, I grew up having it.
My favorite cafe just started carrying Jensen GF bread and it is the 1st GF bread that really can be toasted or used as a "grilled" sandwich but it is a 120 calories a slice, so it is just a nice "treat". My hubby loves his bread and really has no need to watch his calories, and he loves it.
Not into tofu and have found rice noodles that I like.
If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing.
