I am so behind the times on this Dominoes pizza. I am glad I read this before I went there to try it. Thanks to all of you.

I do like Chebe crust and the bread sticks.

I agree Domino's never should have called it gluten-free. I don't think it's over yet. Crazy thing about it is NFCA an organization I have promoted was involved in educating them; bad idea.

CEC is also trying out a gluten free cupcake too. After all how can you take a child to CEC without pizza and cake for a birthday.

I like tapioca so it isn't a problem for me.Some people can taste it, but I can't.Probably because I have Caribbean roots. Chebe pizza crust with Daiya cheese in it...Yum!

And Were-Monkey1 - I totally agree with you. I hope that GF people everywhere avoid them like the plague. A half @$$ attempt at GF is worse than none at all. They shouldn't have the right to call it GF.

At least CEC is making an effort and now children in at least the areas where it is available have an available option at pizza parties there. Where before they would have none. Domino's even putting it out there is an insult to anyone with gluten sensitivities or Celiac. If they are not going to actually make an effort to make a safe product why even try. Either cook it in a dedicated oven and with uncontaminated toppings and cutters or just don't even put it out there.

Chebe has a pizza crust made with Tapioca Flour, which some people don't like. I liked the bread balls and assume the pizza dough will be just as good. I just have to make it, which means less pizza - I'm a touch lazy when it comes to baking GF foods, but it's pizza so it's probably worth it.

I have heard that King Arthur flour has a good pizza crust recipe, but I haven't tried it yet. They also have a mix, but I don't live any where that I can buy one. Amazon has them but too expensive to just try. I checked on Chuck e Cheese and it seems at this point it is only being tested in a few places.

I will definitely post if I do finally make a really good crust. Some have been good but just not really good.

I can't wait to see how the bake in bag pizza goes over at Chuck E. Cheese! What an awesome concept. It comes to the restaurant in a bag, goes into the oven in the bag and then opened at the table and the customer gets their own pizza cutter!

Just have to be in the mood for noise and germs...lol. emoticon emoticon

Dorothy I didn't realize Chuck E Cheese had GF Pizza. I don't live in a town that has one but when we go to the city they have one there I will have to check out.

Homemade is probably best. It just takes time. Could you share what you come up with? Pizza loving minds want to know...

Wow..thanks for all the input. I just recently tried Still Riding and it was pretty good. We too are still trying to come up with a really good homemade recipe. I just wish these restaurants were required to fully train and set up their kitchen before offering it. It's so disappointing to read "gluten-free" and then read the fine print or FAQ and find out it's really not a choice.

I don't trust them either. It is a total, jump on the GF bandwagon, attempt to drum up business. Sort of like California Pizza Kitchen, which was horrible. The pizza was on a cracker and my husband and I were hungry when we got up from the table and went to a restaurant next door to get something to eat.

But it isn't GF because it isn't made in a dedicated area. There is a place in the bay with a handmade brown rice flour GF pizza crust and they have a dedicated space and dedicated ingredients, www.pizzarustica.com. Pizza is great the first night and left overs taste fantastic.

Zachary's Pizza, www.zacharys.com, another place has a GF crust and dedicated ingredients, but their specialty pizza's aren't made w/ gluten free ingredients. They will make pizza with other ingredients but they actually tell you that they can't guarantee that it's gluten free. The use the Still Riding pizza crust, www.stillridingpizza.com.

We have a local GF bakery that makes pizza crusts and they are available frozen. www.mariposabaking.com. I don't know if they send their pizza crusts by mail order. They do mail order their other products.

Whole paycheck has a GF pizza crust. Maybe the best option is to make our own pizza because bottom line I don't trust Domino's - it's a chain. I also think that, as GF people, there are things we can't eat and I have to honor that! Pizza, unfortunately is one.

Finding a GF pizza is one thing I thing we all miss. I don't mind making them at home, but I have never found a crust that I just love. Presently I use the UDI crust but would love to find a recipe to make.

I don't trust it! They are not trying to avoid CC at all, same line, same toppings, same pans, same cutters. Their video said they are testing at under 20ppm but is that in a lab where everything is perfect or in a store after a rush? I saw several people on FB saying they tried it and were fine, but thats 1st day and I don't know how sensitive they are.
Also Chuck E Cheese announced yesterday they are test marketing GF pizza and I would trust them. The pizza is made at Conte and sealed in this special bag and sent to CEC frozen. When 1 is ordered the whole thing, bag and all is put in the oven and delivered to the table in the bag and the adult in charge then removes the bag and cuts the pizza with a dedicated knife. The employees do not touch the actual pizza at any time. Bad part only in Minnesota and only cheese at this time.
