Thank you all so much! Even though it was basically three different bits of advice it was exactly what I was looking for :) Thank you for sharing!

I did want to say concerning my plantar fasciitis - it was completely gone for a little while ... until a couple of small accidental ingestions where it flared up ever so slightly - then it went away again ... it came back full force when I had my gluten-fest :( Though it is nearly down to nothing again which is awesome! Just a little stiffness when I get up after sitting for a long time - not awful pain any more.

The best thing to do is to start with light exercises. Do not push yourself to much. See if you body reacts well to that. If it makes you hurt more then back off and do less. But try to keep yourself active through the pain and then rest as much as possible to heal.

Rest, rest, rest, rest, rest. If I overdo it I feel soooooo tired and am not able to accomplish much. I'm still learning about my body. I tend to overdo it and find that it catches up with me if I'm sleep deprived. My form is dermatitis herperformits (sp). The brain fog will come in if I don't allow my body to rest. It's a juggling act for all of us, but we find out our limits by coming up against them. Unfortunately. Good luck to you both.

I also have plantar fasitis and I work through it if it's not too bad but know this: It won't get better. I had bursitis in my hips, also, and it never got better even through 3 months of steroid injections until I squished a disc in my back and was close to motionless for almost a month. I also have achilles tendonitis which I will work through if it's not too painful. I'm not an MD but all this tells me I can 'work through' the pain if it's not 'too bad'. My doctor would have me motionless until the underlying problem is cured, but I can't do that, my insurance wouldn't pay for it. For me it's a choice. Up until I actually damage something, which is probable, according to my foot doctor, I will keep going. Then the insurance will pay. Of course.

I've been gf since mid to late January with only a couple of small accidental ingestions. I've been feeling better and better and better over the past few months - to the point that even my husband had something positive to say to someone about it a few weeks ago!

Well, last week unbeknownst to me, I ate tacos over the course of a few days and started feeling sooooooo bad (like I used to feel) that I finally looked them up and researched the mess out of the seasonings - yep gluten. Well, at least I know now.

My problem is exercise and I just want to see what everyone else's experience has been ..... My gluten reactions are not gut related - I have headaches, brain fog, severe fatigue, and severe inflammation in all of my joints plus plantar fascii. At first I didn't realize it because it was finals week and I just thought that was catching up with me. My plan had been to start exercising again as soon as finals were over - which was yesterday. But I'm so fatigued and my joints/plantar fascii hurt and I'm wondering ----

does it hurt to exercise through it or should I allow the inflammation to decrease before exercising? I'm not looking for medical advice, I'm looking for others' experiences with similar reactions.
